This was our second stay at The Pheasant Inn and we were not disappointed. The rooms are wonderfully maintained & warm all year round, the staff are extremely friendly & accommodating (allowing us to store our bikes indoors) & the food is amazing! There is so much to see and do in the area we will definitely be back in the new year too.

Great place to stay near Bassenthwaite

Nice hotel, we have stayed with the ICG previously and enjoyed it. This hotel was equally pleasant. Nice room and good breakfast. We were able to get some nice walks in from the doorstep, which is always good.

The Pleasant Pheasant

Lovely friendly rustic Inn fabulous surroundings and really a great pleasure to visit. Rooms comfortable well equipped and food in the restaurant was outstanding and not badly priced. Breakfast was excellent!

We had a lovely one night stay with our 2 dogs. The hotel room was beautifully presented and very clean. Quiet and comfy. Super dog friendly, the staff were lovely.

Lovely place to stay

This is a great place to stay with access to great fell walks right on the doorstep of the hotel. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic. The only complaint we had was ordering food for dinner was chaotic... Long queues of around 20 minutes to order at a single till! A problem that could easily be solved if they offered table service.

Lovely character

Characterful pub with rooms with dog friendly and dog free areas. Quaint old bar plus various other bar/restaurant areas and a nice garden. Big clean and quiet room with a huge and powerful shower (number 8). Food good for evening meals and a decent breakfast selection was included in the price we paid. Good location for exploring the Lake District.

We had the most amazing stay at The Pheasant Inn. Stuart, Alison, Christine & all the staff made our week away perfect. Nothing was too much trouble & everyone was so friendly.
