Even though it was October the kids got to use the pool for two days. The hot tub was also enjoyed. Loved the fireplace. Everything was a distance but we knew that was the case. We enjoyed Fort Ticonderoga and going into VT to Rutland and Woodstock. We did the rail ride in Thurman and enjoyed timenin Lake George Village. We were there for Oktoberfest. We also enjoyed the outlets as the last stop before we left the area. It is definitely a place for relaxation and getting away from busy life. We had hoped to see some more wildlife but we were okay with the turkeys and frogs. We got to see some deer crossing the river on the rail ride. I would love to return. ##### Melissa B. Very rural, wi-fi isn’t great, 30 mins to Walmart, grocery, or a small town for a pizza. If you are looking for a gorgeous home, furnished with the best furniture, beautifully cleaned, beautifully maintained. A pool that was like bath water. And a four person hot tub that was like heaven, this place is for you. Don’t forget it’s pet friendly. Truthfully, this house is built for a large family. So much room to spread out. The pool was heated and was so great to just float around in. Outdoor kitchen with a blackstone was a plus! We had a little hiccup on the last couple days with the pool heater not working, but Jean was so responsive and helpful. You can tell this family really loves their home. The best part are the little things no one thinks of- for example- pool towel were put out for us. There is a bowl of chargers that had been left at the house and instead of throwing them away, they have them in a bowl in case anyone forgot one! There are so many things to cooke with, serve with, down to the tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. The person who manages this property has done a phenomenal job at anticipating what guests may need while staying. It’s on the East side of the lake, so you’re up in the mountains and about 15 mins from lake Champlain/ Vermont. It’s a great location! Thanks from our family! House was fully stocked with everything you would need! The entire holiday weekend was cold and rainy but we still enjoyed ourselves! We used the hot tub a lot and the heated pool on the first day! We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We even played horseshoes in the yard. House has everything you would need. We definitely over packed. It is about a 45 minute drive to Lake George, restaurants, and a Walmart. Highly recommend visiting Martha's ice cream. The wifi is slow...assuming due to the area. My only complaint would be the upstairs master bed. It is creaky and uncomfortable. My husband and I had the most wonderful experience. The hosts have created such a warm, relaxing, cozy, and beautiful home…perfect for a winter getaway.
