"This is property is an amazing piece of vintage American history. We were told it was the first motel in Moab, built around 1954 because of the film industry. John Wayne, Henry Fonda, Anthony Quinn and a host of other actors stayed here. The motel maintains the charm of the ’50s but has modern conveniences and has been updated. If you’re looking for comfort and character, this is the place to stay. Better than staying in some sterile chain hotel. We walked to dinner both nights of our visit. They had free bikes to use around town and had a fire pit going each night. No problem parking and the staff were very friendly and helpful."
