This villa has updated bathrooms, kitchen, and floors; it is designed to give you a quiet carefree oasis where the warm sun will melt away the troubles of your “real world”. VILLA SERENITY is located in The Reef Condominium Complex - a gated community which also has a golf course on site . Each villa at The Reef is situated on landscaped rolling hills to insure maximum privacy for our guests. Start your morning with a warm cup of coffee on the deck overlooking the panoramic view of the Caribbean ocean. If you need a little exercise take a quiet swim in the hill side pool or enjoy a round of golf directly on-site! St. Croix also offers some of the finest reef, wreck and pier diving in the Caribbean and excellent snorkeling is only minutes from the front door of the villa. If all that golf, diving and snorkeling sounds like too much work don't forget the hammock on the white sandy beach just across the street and make sure you bring that book you've always wanted to read. Whether you're dozing all day in the hammock or playing golf and checking out the water sports you don't have to go far too find a good meal. Within walking distance of the villa is Ollie's which is open for breakfast and lunch offering dining in an open air casual atmosphere. Also at the beach you will find fine dining at Duggan's Reef Restaurant - a St. Croix legend offering the finest in fresh seafood and steaks. The Villa was very well appointed and had gorgeous sea views. The pool area was very nice and never crowded. The East End of St. Croix has its own laid-back vibe, and the local shopping and restaurants were excellent. There is a beautiful quite little beach area just down the street. We thought we’d never return to the island, but saw the listing for Serenity and jumped at the chance to come back. John and Stella have done a wonderful renovation….their unit is neat, clean, modern, well stocked. A/C is available, but, in January, the seasonal breezes and ceiling fans kept us comfortable. Everything in the villa was in good working order. The Reef is a perfect place to stay…..lots of activities available (tennis, golf, pickle ball, large pool, etc.) You can be busy or just enjoy peace and quiet. Two of our favorite things are the spectacular views from the front patio (where we enjoyed morning coffee, etc.), and visiting the patio/pavillion next to the pool, again with beautiful views. There are lots of things to do and see in St. C…. having a rental car and sense of adventure are good things to make a visit to the island complete. We will be returning next year. ##### Marjorie M. Villa Serenity is the best of them all. The unit is beautiful and comfortable. From soup to nuts, the entire process was smooth and, as customer service dies a slow death everywhere else, we were treated as customers should be. The Reef did not disappoint. Views are spectacular & the East End of the island is serene. True to description, the beds were comfortable & the kitchen stocked with all you would need. We were the first post-hurricane guests, & were flexible to the extent we could about amenities that might be missing on the island (but most were available in Christiansted, so DON'T let it stop you from booking). Be aware: as of January 2018, the wonderful Duggans Restaurant at the beach & the other smaller TLC sandwich/coffee place are out of commission. Tennis courts are not usable. The golf & frisbee golf course is well-maintained, but we were unable to use them because the Reef office "hasn't had clubs or frisbees since the hurricane." Donna, who manages the property for the owners, was graciously able to meet us on Christmas (we were surprised that even the island grocery stores were open on Christmas). To our surprise (and Donna's) the hurricane shutters were still closed shut, and unable to be opened until midday the next day. Surprising, since they knew for months we were coming. Air conditioner in the lower bedroom wasn't working, & Donna had it replaced immediately the next day, after one sweltering night for our daughter and one day of no view for us. Were also told we'd have internet, important since our daughter was taking an online college class. In fact, we almost cancelled until we were assured we'd have internet. No internet the entire time, nor any TV. Donna said she'd look into it, but we never heard from her about it again, nor did she bring the DVDs she promised. Sitting at a bar on day 6, we overhead another Reef owner and inquired about the internet. She said it was out for everyone but the Reef office had internet & we could sit down there. Would have been nice to know this earlier, and from Donna! We could have made arrangements for a Sprint or ATT phone to stream from. We also had to patch together a broken window in the master bedroom with mailing tape to keep the bugs & winds from coming in. Donna said she come look at it (we had asked for duct tape), but never did. My son slept on top of the foldout couch, because we had difficulty opening it (large plywood piece lays on top of the mattress) & finding sheets (no word from Donna). Better communication would have allowed us to plan contingencies. So book, enjoy, but know the details ##### Audrie S. The rooms were spacious, linens provided were all fine cotton, and the general decor tasteful. We used the kitchen for most meals and found everything we would need to cook with. We met some of the neighbors and even went to a pizza and beer party there the night before we left. ##### Voyageur vérifié ### 8/10 – Bien #### Carol T. 8 janv. 2016 #### Serene Indeed First of all, we had a wonderful 2 week stay at Villa Serenity for our Christmas and New Years get away. It was almost exactly as described and the photos are very accurate. It was larger than I expected and the fact that it was on three levels added a nice sense of privacy for both bedrooms. The Dish service for the television and WiFi included were very much appreciated and used. The villa was very clean and full of everything we needed for our stay. Upon arrival, we had a little problem getting into the unit but with a phone call to Tom it was fixed immediately - we were actually trying to open the next door neighbors unit! (it was late and very dark) Tom was always very helpful with any questions that we had throughout our stay. A car would be needed for renting this villa, you need it to get everywhere, and a GPS would almost be necessary as well. I would suggest to check out the cupboards and refrigerator before doing your grocery shopping because there is so much already provided and it saves from buying the same things. The beaches in the area are mighty fine and the one at Duggans has chairs there for your use. None were particularly crowded. Don't forget to pack an umbrella, either for the sun or a quick shower that may come up. Clothing on the island is very relaxed and you don't need much but swimsuits and sundresses!
