5/5 - Excellent
I loved this chill city, lots of interesting things to see and I hired a great tour guide, Jermsak (jermsakltc@gnail.com), for two days and he really provided a wealth of information about everything Chiang Rai.

Well-liked for its river views and coffeehouses, you might stop by Central Chiang Rai and Chiang Rai Night Bazaar while you're exploring Sanuk Residences and the surrounding neighborhoods.

The room was excellent, fresh and very clean. Breakfast options were abundant. This is a resort, with location outside the hum of the city, but easy enough to catch a ride.

White Temple, black house and blue temple were all amazing.
Chiang Rai is a nice relaxing city with so much to see and do but you do need to have transportation as these things are a bit far apart.
If you like gold and gold, you will love this property!
Nothing is walkable, get a taxi and pay the driver by the hour to tour around
Be careful with stray dogs on the outskirts of the city. Stay where it's populated.
