The place was very clean and was welcoming upon entering the door. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. My wife did a lot of reading on the deck when we were not going around to places we had been in the past. The location was convenient and just a few minutes off the main road of Maggie Valley. Reached out to the property manager who immediately got back to us and resolved the issue. Great location that provides a lot of privacy. Be aware, the drive up to the cabin gets to a 9 degree pitch. If I had to list a con, it would be that there were some light switches that didn’t seem connected to anything and we couldn’t get the fan in the main bedroom to work. But overall, or stay was super enjoyable. The hosts were also very compassionate when I had to make a change due to the loss of my pet. The listing is true to form. We really enjoyed our stay! The cabin was as described. There is a steep road up to it but it wasn’t a problem. It is right on the side of a mountain and surrounded by beautiful trees. The hot tub was a nice bonus. The cabin is cute and quaint, with a real woodsy feel. The renovated master bath was awesome. The grandkids loved the bunk and big bed in the 2nd bedroom. In the description, the owners said to buy provisions ahead and that’s correct- not many stores nearby. But we were able to get pizza delivered!
