"Room was spacious and well appointed. Location is great for adventures around Charleston! They have free transportation for a ride to local dining. Coffe shop and restaurant on site, nice relaxing common areas. The pool is very small and we did not use it. Would definitely stay here again!"

"The location is terrific. The hotel is older, but it has been fairly well maintained. We had a pizza as a snack when we arrived and it was wonderful. We would go back the next time we go to Charleston."

"Other than seeing a woman's dog swimming in the swimming poo whenl the sign clearly says no pets within the pool area? Or the washing machine not working and requiring a credit card Or the breakfast that had pork in it that I couldn't eat. Or these fake alarm calls. Etc."

"Cost for overnight parking was $43/night, which was a bit excessive. Maintenance needed to be called when we checked in to get the climate control and fan to work in our room. No shampoo in the bathroom. Breakfast was OK, but grits and oatmeal were not refilled. We decided to go out for breakfast after the first morning. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean; beds were comfortable. Building is "worn" and could use a upgrade, including better security at elevators, restricting access to floors above lobby level. Outdoor pool was open, but too cool to swim in the first week of May. This hotel is in the Historic District. You are paying for the location. It is not a good value for the money."

"Breakfast was not included, would be nice to include a credit/voucher to use at restaurant during breakfast, lunch or dinner Pool was not open during our stay Traffic not bad, except early morning noise. Loved the shuttle service provided, added bonus. "

"The Hotel staff were very nice and engaging. Valet parking attendants very helpful. Great location. Standard room is adequate and has all of the amenities needed. The noise level from music at the pool level at night was intrusive. Bring a noise cancelling device. The coffee shop and morning restaurant openings need to be earlier. The room rate was $$$$ for graduation weekend. Overall, a good experience."
