Top Cerezo Hotel Reviews

Hotel Azar

8/10 Good

"Good half way stopover, parking and food, bar etc"

Parador de Plasencia

8/10 Good

"Set in a fabulous historic building this parador is huge. Very good bar and restaurant. Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options for those interested. The staff were very helpful. Our room was massive. Had old people’s home vibes! Could do with updating, especially the bathroom, but the place is so enormous it would cost a fortune. Very nice looking pool, though not in use. Excellent location for exploring the historic part of the town. Overall excellent."

Hospedium Hotel Doña Mafalda de Castilla

8/10 Good

"We stayed for two nights travelling to our destination and two nights a fortnight later on the way back. On both occasion there was no evening meals available due to closure of resturant. This was a bind as it meant driving into town, then walking around looking for somewhere to eat, most places being shut on Mondays and Tuesdays. Apart from that the hotel was a good stop off for a couple of nights."

Balneario Valle del Jerte

10/10 Excellent

"I stayed for business trip and the staff were very welcoming and helpful to me from when I arrived. My Spanish is not great but were always helpful to try and help or accommodate me. Breakfast was good and the evening buffet meals had variety of choice. Many of the guests clearly visit for the pool and spa facilities, as well as hiking trials and cycling routes in the area. I did not have time for this but had an enjoyable stay and would return due to the practical location and friendly staff."

LOS ALAMOS BOUTIQUE

10/10 Excellent

"We attended at the hotel on a Sunday afternoon, where we found out that they don’t serve meals Sunday at all. ( No staff). But to be fair, No restaurants or cafes were open either owing to it being Sunday. (this included the town where the cafes and restaraunt’s don’t open till around 8 pm. But right next door to the hotel is a garage that sells fresh baked bread. Cakes. Packed meat slices. Cheese and drinks. More than enough to see us through. The male person who was on duty at the hotel was really helpful and told us that although the bar was closed, he would open up just for us, so we didn’t have to go without. ( there is also a coffee machine in every room). This is what you call real customer service. Again, the rooms were spotlessly clean. Very modern, and very comfortable. If you do go on a Sunday and you want to go to the town. It is literally 3 mins drive and just park in one of the main car parks and walk up to the Plaza Mayor where most of the restaurants and bars are. (You can’t drive into the plaza). Or ask the staff which they think is the best place to go. They are all very helpful. Already in the process of booking again in September."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Cerezo?

The best area to stay in Cerezo is the area immediately surrounding the Plaza Mayor, which is the heart of the village.

This central area offers convenient access to Cerezo's main attractions and services. You'll find the historic church, local shops, and traditional eateries clustered around the square. The streets here are generally narrow and cobbled, giving a real sense of the village's heritage.

For couples looking for a relaxing getaway, staying near the Plaza Mayor is ideal. You'll be within easy walking distance of everything, great for enjoying leisurely strolls, sampling local cuisine, and soaking in the village's quiet charm without needing a car.

Families will also find this central location highly convenient. Being close to the main square means children can enjoy the open space, and you're never far from your accommodation for naps or quick returns.

When is the best time to go to Cerezo?

The best time to visit Cerezo is during the shoulder seasons of spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) when the weather is pleasant and the natural beauty of the region is at its peak.

Spring in Cerezo brings mild temperatures, ideal for exploring the surrounding countryside and the Jerte Valley, famous for its cherry blossoms. This period offers comfortable conditions for outdoor activities like hiking and visiting local villages without the intense heat of summer.

Autumn also provides agreeable weather, with slightly cooler temperatures great for walking and enjoying the changing colours of the landscape. The harvest season for olives and grapes adds to the local character, and you can experience traditional festivals during this time.

While summer (July and August) is sunny, it can be very hot, sometimes exceeding 35°C, which might be less comfortable for daytime exploration.
