The room was clean and the view from the balcony was great but that too needed a lick of paint. The hotel looks like it's been mid-renovation though and the rooms are not in great shape... in fact, a bit poor. While very clean, my bathroom was not easy you use and had a dripping WC pan all night... also the food service at the bar was closed during my stay, so there was no food in the evenings and being 'out-of-season', there are no alternatives in the village. It was a bit noisy as it’s a bar and there was a party on but it didn’t go on much beyond 12pm, the breakfast was home cooked and really nice. Room very dated, door needed replacing as well as everything else. Room warm asked for fan never got one. Waited 1 1/2 hours for food, when it came chicken breast was like rubber and inedible. We were told there were no others rooms we could change to and he also pointed out that it stated on the website that the hotel was in the middle of renovations, IT DID NOT STATE THIS. Shower room needed gutting and no place to dry yourself after as toilet was in the way (the sink was in the bedroom!) Unfortunately, there was very loud music (couldn't even hear the TV in our room) but it did stop after 11pm. We enjoyed a big room, great harbour view and a balcony.
