Very convenient to popular hiking trails. The trailhead of a connector to the Appalachian Trail and McAffee Knob is within a 5 minute walk. Some of us were hiking the nearby Appalachian Trail/Virginia Triple Crown. Some of us day hiked to Dragon's Tooth. The house was scrupulously clean and modern. So wonderfully quiet. The kitchen was well stocked and had a really nice knife set, making cooking so much easier. The beds, sofa, and chairs were very comfortable. The house was well stocked with soap, detergent, towels, etc. Very dog friendly. Outdoor spaces like the porch and fire pit were perfect. It was far from rustic, with a lovely modern kitchen ad bathroom, attractive decor, and a wonderful yard which our dog, Max, loved.
