Heading eastbound on TransCanada 1 just before Banff, I was stuck by the beauty of the afternoon sun lighting up the mountains. I pulled off at the Hwy 93 exit and climbed up a rickety billboard scaffold (not recommended) to capture this shot.

Just over the Bow River from the Castle Mountain Chalets, there is this fantastic view of Castle Mountain. Snowy mountains on cold clear skies are the best!

Only thing I forgot to mention that it was very quite except the Chalets are very close to a train track. The train would go by about every 2 hours and i would sometimes be woken up throughout the night.
