Beautiful Village, Beautiful Home.

Maryvonne and Franco have a charming, village house in the historic and beautiful village of Castelnou. The house is simply but tastefully decorated and equipped with all you need for an enyoyable holiday. We made the most of the terrace and the wonderful views, for our breakfast and evening "sundowner". Woody, our Border terrier, loved sitting at the open floor to ceiling height doors, of the main bedroom, taking the breeze and looking for roaming goats in the surrounding hills. Castelnou has some great restaurants and bars serving exceptional local food. It is well placed for visits to Perpignan, Ceret and Coullioure. We did not visit Spain but had a lovely costal wallk at Cap Bear, a beautiful area of cliffs and coves near the Spanish boarder. We took Woody for walks into the hills of the Prynees . The mountain areas and villages are beautiful. We visited Perpignan on a couple of evenings. It was vibrant, with locals and visitors, enjoing the miriad Tapas restaurants and bars. Coullioure was a stunning town and is well worth a visit. A great night out. Touristy but this to be expected for such a beautiful costal town. We loved Ceret and the smaller surrounding mountain villages which were pecaful and beautiful. Maryvonne and Franco were great hosts. Franco made us feel welcome and booked us into a local restaurant, on our first night. Maryvonne booked us a local vet to sort out treatment for Woody and paperwork for our return to the UK. Lovely People.

a wonderful medieval village which serves as a great base to explore Cathar castles, Perpignan and Thiur and also beaches at Leucate and Collioure. Excellent experience.

Perfekt renoviertes dorfhaus

Wir hatten 3 schöne Tage in diesem sehr geräumigen Haus. Das Dorf ist zwar extrem touristisch, aber im Haus ist davon nichts zu spüren. WLAN ist gut, die Küche super ausgestattet, die Gastgeber nett und hilfsbereit.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour en famille à Castelnou. Le gîte, idéalement situé dans ce village digne d’une carte postale, est plein de charme, parfaitement équipé (il ne manque rien) et très confortable. Wunderschönes Dorf & ganz besondere Wohnung

Ein wunderschönes Dorf voller kleiner Geschäfte und winziger Gassen wie aus dem Mittelalter. Von der kleinen Dachterrasse hat man einen umwerfenden Blick in die Berge. Die Wohnung ist schön eingerichtet. Es ist alles vorhanden. Erwarten Sie keinen Luxus,, dafür aber etwas Besonderes. Jeanpaul war unglaublich nett!

Un séjour très agréable dans un village typique

En recherche de vacances en famille, nous sommes tombés sur cette annonce. Le village de Castelnou est enchanteur (malgré la météo un peu capricieuse) et les activités à proximité sont multiples. Le logement était atypique mais très agréable et la petite terrasse parfaite pour les apéros au soleil. Hôtes très attentionnés et attentifs à notre confort. Un très beau séjour.

Merveilleux séjour à Castelnou

Nous avons passé une merveilleuse semaine dans ce gîte idéalement situé dans le paisible village de Castelnou. Gîte très confortable et authentique, à l'image du village. Nous avons passé des vacances incroyables dans ce duplex très charmant atypique dans un lieu somptueux !!! Très belle maison au milieu du joli village médiéval de castelnou..une superbe vu sur les montagnes .. Une multitude de randonnées à faire..visites culturelles..plages.. bateaux.restos à gogo .et se prélasser sur le patio sirotant un spritz ...ça ressemble bien à une certaine dolce vita.
