Really kind and communicative owner. Super clean (and I am a neat freak) and even a great bed! The location is incredible- 1/2 block from the beach and you can hear the waves from the back patio. We took the golf cart out to a couple of local spots and it made our trip memorable and fun. I recommend visiting the seal sanctuary, Franklin Trail, Brass Bird Coffee, and Little Dom’s for dinner. Michael made us feel so welcome with a hand written personalized note, which was so thoughtful! Pictures don’t do justice of how lovely and aesthetically pleasing this studio really is, gave all the beach vibes with it’s Carpinteria decor throughout the home. So clean and cozy! The location is just perfect and safe with kids, with just a few minutes walking distance to the beach, park and food locations. Michael’s local food recommendations was super helpful, we tried the brewery and The worker bee cafe-soo good! We were also able to take advantage of the community (heated) pool-the kids really enjoyed it! Sadly, our trip was not long enough! We tried to stay another night but because it was a busy time(Spring Break) it was not available but we are hoping to come back to Sandyland Studio this summer for more adventures! Aug 24, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Spacious, Clean, Organized, Beautiful Beach We are experienced vacation rental folks and THIS was the most organized, clean, and conveniently located place we have ever stayed at. Literally steps to the beach in this quaint, safe, sleepy surf town, walking distance to incredible restaurants (Zonkers!) and coffee shop (New Moon Cafe), and easy 20-minute drive to Santa Barbara. What we were most impressed with, though, was how perfectly stocked the apartment is. Everything is clearly labeled, well-appointed, and very clean. Extra towel hooks, super fun collection of board games, lawn chairs for sunset, foot washing corner on the lanai to remove sand easily, fresh spices including TAJIN in the kitchen! Speaking of the kitchen, we did not cook a meal while onsite but I wanted to simply because it was a lovely little space with beautiful appliances that were practically begging to be used. Truly, Michael had it all! Speaking of Michael, he is easy to reach, very helpful, and gave instructions that were clear and valuable. We accidentally locked ourselves out one night and he was easy to reach and so understanding and helpful. Parking was a breeze, checkout was seamless. We were in town to move our college-bound daughter into her dorm and she slept on the pullout couch on Day 1\. It was perfect. We are already planning our next stay here, and you should too! Jan 7, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### BOOK THIS CARPINTERIA GEM Michael's place is even better than the photos show - it is beautifully decorated & we felt so pampered during our stay! He provided everything we could have needed, from a fully stocked kitchen, to lots of towels, bed linens, blankets & pillows, to beach equipment to toiletries - its all there. We didn't need a single thing other than food during our stay. The beds were comfy, everything is new & the place was spotless. There are ceiling fans & ample lighting. A lot of care went into planning what his guests might need - lots of storage, night stands with built in charging stations (amazing!!), board games, wifi, a giant TV to stream what we wanted, we were just blown away. Keyless entry was a breeze, the complex was quiet, the location is highly desirable & we felt very safe. We parked in front of our unit & the unit opens onto Sandyland Rd. Shops, restaurants, the grocery store & the farmer's market were all within walking distance. We were on a girls trip & felt safe to walk at night to go grab a bite to eat. The train station is a 6 minute walk & we took the train into Santa Barbara for the day. In the morning we walked across the street to the beach with our coffee & soaked up the morning sun. Michael provided check-in information the day before our arrival & let us know he was just a message away if we needed anything. He even welcomed us with the nicest note & snacks!!
