This spacious (1,271 Sq Feet) 2 bedroom, 2 ½ bath condo features the feel of a lake house yet located just steps to the beach. The spacious and private deck is the perfect place to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails while watching the boats, ocean life and beautiful sunsets over the canal. The water-front location provides incredible views and access to the boat dock for fishing. A short one block walk will put your feet in the sand of the beautiful North End beach. Comfort and beach vibes abound in this rental gem. Easy-breezy check-in with keyless entry (no keys to worry about losing at the beach) and access up 1 flight of stairs (also has an elevator). Unit is completely updated, and well-appointed. Some features include free secure Wi-Fi, 3 smart TVs, full-size washer/dryer, fully stocked kitchen with oven, fridge/freezer, coffee maker, Keurig machine, toaster, pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. The unit sleeps 6 comfortably with 2 master bedrooms. The 1st bedroom has King bed, and a full bathroom with a double sink vanity. The 2nd bedroom has 1 Queen Bed, a twin bed with a pull-out twin trundle, and a full bathroom with a double sink vanity. The 2nd bedroom also has bean bag chairs for a "kid/teen sitting area". The unit also features a half bath, spacious kitchen, dining room, living room and private deck. Public beach access is 1 ½ blocks away. It is recommended that you bring beach chairs and toys, or there is a rental company that can deliver chairs\\umbrellas\\surfboards\\etc. with drop off right at the beach access so you don't have to haul anything. Not feeling like going to the beach? Head south down Canal Street to the charter fishing boats as well as other boats offering eco-tour, sunset or moonlight cruises. There are also many daytrip options including shopping\\dining in downtown Wilmington or taking your car on the ferry to Southport. The Fort Fisher Aquarium or touring the USS North Carolina battleship are other popular activities. Hungry after a day of activities? Walk a few blocks over to the High Tide Lounge and Tiki bar for some drinks or food from the grill with great ocean views. One mile South puts you in the main entertainment strip with many popular restaurants, bars and shops on the boardwalk and surrounding area. We are happy to provide you our recommendation to satisfy any craving. Looking for nightlife? There are many options, also on and around the boardwalk. Enjoy live music at the Lazy Pirate or Sea Witch Cafe, have an ice-cold beer at the Fat Pelican (the BEST dive bar around with a sand beach beer garden), or explore the many other bars and restaurant options. Note: Parking is limited in this part of the island and there is only one dedicated parking space for the unit. Also, this area is prone to flooding when there are heavy rain events. This may result in temporary closures of Canal Drive to vehicle traffic. There is a dock that you are welcome to fish from or launch kayaks\\SUPs. The dock may not be used for motorized boats. Being right on the canal was great -- you just can't beat those views and watching the boats from the back porch! And, it was an easy walk to the beach -- took less than five minutes to get there. It was a really nice touch to have hand and dish soap, paper products, laundry detergent, and trash bags provided - though the grocery store was really close by. Carole was very communicative - easy check in and out - and kept us up to speed on things as needed. ##### Kristen M. Our granddaughter caught three fish off the balcony in the back. She’s seven years old. These were her first fish. Make sure to get the ferry to go to Southpoint. It’s about a 20 minute drive south. ##### John T. The property owner was super nice and easy to communicate with. Very clean and well equipped house with everything that you could need and then some. The location on the bay was mine and my wife’s favorite feature. We loved sitting on the rear balcony and watching the sunset together. My sons enjoyed several hours of fishing off the attached dock. They caught over a hundred small baitfish off the dock. Then just a short 3 minute walk to the beach to fish in the surf or play in the water. We plan on booking this spot again! ##### Jesse F. It was very well appointed and comfortable. Easy walk to the beach. The highlight for us though was the view from the porch! We spent so much time enjoying the boats and the birds.
