This unit is a one bedroom, one bathroom vacation retreat that sleeps two adults. As soon as you walk in the door the elegant beachy decor welcomes you to your beach vacation. When you are ready grab a boogie board or go surf. You will be on the beach and enjoying the water within minutes. If you prefer to explore on land, this home is known for it's "walkability" located walking distance to excellent restaurants such as Vigilucci's, Park 101, and many shopping options located in the Village. After a fun filled day, head back to your vacation rental to retire to your private second floor deck to watch beautiful sunsets go down over the Pacific Ocean nightly. The home does have AC which is difficult to find in Carlsbad and has amazing ocean views. Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front of the house and fun tidal pools for the kids to explore at low tide just south in the Terramar area. Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft. Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets. Easy access, check-in and check-out. The hosts responded without delay to questions I had about the property and even sent handyman to fix an outlet and replace light bulb. All and all, this was a nice property to stay in. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I was looking for a quiet get away - and this was far from quiet. The noise of traffic on Carlsbad Boulevard was not peaceful. I tried to enjoy the outdoor patio facing Carlsbad Boulevard and it was not pleasant due to the traffic. It was also a working retreat for me and I would have loved to leave the balcony french doors opened during the day but too noisy. I did get to enjoy the balcony early morning for coffee when it wasn't so loud - that was nice. ##### Cheryl E. Everything worked but a paint job would revive it a bit. The location is very good in that the beach is just across the road and is within walking distance of a couple restaurants.Despite its location, for the unit's size, it is overpriced. I contacted the owner to ask if we could check in an hour and a half early and the answer was yes, but they charge 60 per hour for that. I had never encountered that before and find it quite petty. It has a balcony where you can enjoy the ocean view and even sit down to breakfast or enjoy a cup of coffee. The inside is very neat, with a kitchen that has just what you need. Although the washer and dryer are not inside the unit, it was very close by, just down the stairs. Communication was great with the management and they were very responsive. The air conditioning and TV worked perfectly. There was a odor that we think came from the carpet and the overall cleanliness wasn't perfect with visible stains on the furniture. Walls and paint need corrections/cleaning and simple fixable things like rusted toilet paper holders should be replaced. ##### Adam F.
