This unit is a one bedroom, one bathroom vacation retreat that sleeps two adults. As soon as you walk in the door the elegant beachy decor welcomes you to your beach vacation. When you are ready grab a boogie board or go surf. You will be on the beach and enjoying the water within minutes. If you prefer to explore on land, this home is known for it's "walkability" located walking distance to excellent restaurants such as Vigilucci's, Park 101, and many shopping options located in the Village. After a fun filled day, head back to your vacation rental to retire to your private second floor deck to watch beautiful sunsets go down over the Pacific Ocean nightly. Located along Carlsbad Boulevard known for its good beach break surf out front of the house and fun tidal pools for the kids to explore at low tide just south in the Terramar area. Car is not required due to the great walkability of the location and easy access to car services such as Uber and Lyft. Quiet hours outdoors start at 9PM. No parties are allowed. No Pets. It has a balcony where you can enjoy the ocean view and even sit down to breakfast or enjoy a cup of coffee. The inside is very neat, with a kitchen that has just what you need. Although the washer and dryer are not inside the unit, it was very close by, just down the stairs. Everything worked but a paint job would revive it a bit. The location is very good in that the beach is just across the road and is within walking distance of a couple restaurants.Despite its location, for the unit's size, it is overpriced. I contacted the owner to ask if we could check in an hour and a half early and the answer was yes, but they charge 60 per hour for that. I had never encountered that before and find it quite petty. Communication was great with the management and they were very responsive. The air conditioning and TV worked perfectly. Our check-in process was smooth and the instructions were well communicated. That was pretty much where the good communication stopped, however. The place has a great view with super quick beach access across the street. Cons: We only stayed two nights. The first night, I wanted to do laundry, and quickly realized it was a shared outdoor washer and dryer utilized by multiple units. The laundry was occupied most of the night by another guest, but I also couldn’t find the detergent they advised was provided. I messaged the host asking where the detergent was located and also to advise the stopper on the tub wasn’t working and the tub wasn’t draining properly. The stopper was not removable, so not much I could do. I never heard back from the host that night, and the next day while we were at the beach, I got a text message asking how our stay was going. I replied back that I had messaged them on the app about the stopper and the detergent. They advised the detergent was under the kitchen sink, and asked if it was ok for someone to come in while we were gone to look at the tub. I said yes, and that was the last I heard from anyone the duration of the stay. When we arrived back from the beach and ready to shower, it was clear no one had ever come and that the issue was still happening.
