The hotel holds such lovely memories of our wedding day. It’s been developed even more now, but tastefully, holding its true identity in style and decor, with the more modern twists where needed. Every staff member is friendly, the food is delicious, lounge areas comfy, outside areas maintained and modern, and the views over Cardiff and out to sea are wonderful. Our room in the older part of the hotel was quirky and so comfortable with lovely views, warm, spacious and the most comfortable bed possible. We can’t fault The New House Country Hotel. It is a country house, the decor is very nice. Our room was lovely and big, with a super king bed. It was nice and clean. We also had a patio area outside, that we could have sat in, not in November though! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a treat, there was a lot to choose from and everything was cooked to perfection. You only needed to put the bread through the toaster once, that has got to be a first. We actually slept with curtains open something we never do as the scenery was so spectacular of the lights of Cardiff. Room very spacious, bed extremely comfortable. Shame ladies nail varnish marks on bath tub, this can be easily removed with a bit of remover and a cotton wool bud. Staff approachable, polite and friendly. Evening meal was amazing, both had the duo of Lamb dish which provided and explosion of flavours on the taste buds. The person serving was so nice and a credit to the establishment. Breakfast first two morning was table service and staff very attentative. Third morning self serve, slight gripe that even though choice still good, tables were not being cleared of anything until after guest had vacated, leading to messy looking dining room.
