Peace, relaxation and privacy in the Lucca countryside. Swimming pool and air conditioning.

Villa Sundial, surrounded by greenery, away from traffic and noise offers you the possibility of a stay in peace and away from everyone while being only 2.5 km away. from the town of Marlia where there are shops of all kinds, banks, post office, pharmacy. The house that respects the architecture of the typical Tuscan farm buildings is completely surrounded by an enclosed garden. On the ground floor entrance, two living rooms, large well-equipped kitchen with a dining table. You reach the upper floor, through the original stone staircase, where we find 5 bedrooms with private bathrooms. 1 double bedroom has a large terrace equipped with chairs and table where you can enjoy a magnificent view of the surrounding countryside. The other double bedroom obtained in the barn of the house retains the original beamed ceiling. The other three rooms are twin-bedded and can be converted into a double on request. In support of the house there is a large roof, where agricultural tools were once kept and is now furnished with a large table to eat "al fresco" and a living area. With entrance from outside bathroom with shower to accompany the swimming pool. A BBQ completes the equipment. The garden is full of trees, olive trees and flowers and is well cared for. Digital terrestrial TV and free WiFi.

Stunning villa in beautiful countryside

Would recommend this villa to anyone with a family group looking to stay in the beautiful Tuscan countryside with very easy access to the lovely city of Lucca. The pool was the cleanest we have had. Vittorio was a brilliant host. Responsive and friendly. Would love to stay here again.

This property blew us away. Tucked away in the Tuscan hills with a gorgeous pool. The house was so well equipped and all the 5 bedrooms had en-suites which was perfect for our group. Comfortable, Private, Charming Villa in Lucca countryside

Lovely property about 15 minutes by car from Lucca wall. Owner was very responsive and very helpful with recommendations. All bedrooms are very spacious. Outdoor areas are furnished well and have spectacular views.

Lovely villa just outside Lucca. Kitchen and bedrooms all lovely and the outside eating area is fantastic if the weather is good (which it was). Inside living rooms would be a bit dark/small for a house party of 10 people if you needed to spend a long time indoors. But overall very good.

Villa Sundial is the perfect vacation home: tastefully decorated, spacious, bright, each room with private bathroom and air conditioning, lots of privacy, a fully equipped kitchen with a large gas stove, a beautiful garden (almost a small park), a beautiful swimming pool where you can spend the day in the shade of an olive tree, a large barbecue - what else could you ask for? We stayed at this villa for 7 weeks. It was a perfect base for exploring the region. The property is well set up for families/groups - 5 bedrooms, all with ensuites. The pool is large and was a swimmable temperature until the end of September (around 27 degrees Celsius in August, dipping to 21 degrees by early October). Lots of mosquitos in the area, but the villa has fly screens which is great. Our hosts were exceptional - friendly and attended to any issues promptly. We were very sad to leave! Highly recommended.

Best times in Tuscany

Amazing house outside Lucca. Great location for touring the area but also to get away from the hustle. 9 of us used the house and it never felt like we were on top of each other. Gorgeous house with amazing pool. Everyone room has aircon and its own bathroom. Great kitchen and outside areas for eating are nice Lovely views over the countryside and mountains. It was perfect! Belle propriété proche de Lucques

Villa très bien équipée avec de très beaux extérieurs. Idéale pour un groupe. Nous étions 8 dont 4 ados de 13 à 17 ans. Le fait que chaque chambre dispose de sa sdb est très pratique de même que la zone repas extérieure proche de la cuisine. Une location spacieuse et de grande qualité. Deux petits bémols (il en faut bien 😉): 1. toutes les chambres ne sont pas équipées de moustiquaires donc impossible de dormir fenêtres ouvertes mais climatisation en supplément 2. « Pompe » assez bruyante si fenêtres ouvertes. Hôtes très accueillants.

Spacious and quiet

Great pool, good bedrooms with dito bathrooms. Clean house. Very private location. A bit hard to find the first time (dont trust your nav system). Florence is about an hour drive (1,5 to city centre), Pisa 45 mins. Lucca is very nice to visit. Large supermarket 15 min. Minus: Wifi is slow and only in and close to the house (not at the pool).

A lovely venue for a holiday in the Toscana

Everything was accurately described on the website. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor eating arrangement with grill and lounge area with a view of the countryside. Fully fenced in grounds for accompanying canine friends. Great pool. Etc. Etc. Last but not least our hosts were very nice and helpful. Six stars if I could give it that many.

Lovely holiday in the Tuscan countryside

Villa Pieve is spacious and comfortable. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishware, with a large table for dining in. All the bedrooms are of good size, with plenty of storage, and en-suite bathrooms. We found our bed to be comfortable, and by opening all of the upstairs windows, we only needed to run our air conditioning two nights, despite abnormally hot weather. We spent most of our time outside, having breakfast and dinner out on the covered terrace, and sitting out there in the evening to play games. During the day, we spent our time cooling off in the pool, which is large, deep, and clean — and a lovely temperature for the hot weather. A few issues came up during the week, as they always will, but we received quick responses from Barbara, Vittorio and their son, and found them all very kind, helpful, and easy to deal with. We would gladly stay here again, and highly recommend it.

Et sted som fungerer fint for en vennegjeng på 10. Fine soverom/bad og kjøkken. Utestuen var uvurderlig, alle måltider ble inntatt her. Verten var veldig behjelpelig med innkjøp da vi kom sent på kvelden. Man bør nok ha en bil, da det var et stykke til supermarkedet og flere restauranter. Bassengområdet var flott.

Schönes Objekt. Bißchen abseits gelegen, so daß man unter sich ist und keinen Nachbarn stört. Zufahrt zum Objekt über engen Schotterweg mit teils tiefen Gräben seitlich. 5 Schlafzimmer mit je eigenem Bad, teils mit Dusche oder Badewannendusche. Top. Große Küche, viel Sitzgelegenheiten, innen wie draußen. Jedes Zimmer hat eine Klimaanlage, aber Extrakosten bei Gebrauch! 10 Strandliegen, leider nur einen Sonnenschirm. Großer Pool alle 2 Tage gesäubert, Klasse. Gaststätte Osteria 10 Fußminuten entfernt, die ersten Geschäfte in Marlia nach 1/2 Fußmarsch zu erreichen, mit Auto kein Problem. Tipp: Anti-Mücken-Mittel mitnehmen, Spray oder Gel. English Fine property. A little bit off the beaten track, so any neighbour would not be violated. Drive to the house via tight gravel paths with partialy deep ditches. 5 Bedrooms each with bathroom, partialy with shower or bathtub. - Top. Great kitchen, many seats, in the house as well out oft he house. Every room has its own air conditioning unit, extra costs if used ! 10 beach loungers, but only one beach umbrella. Huge Pool, cleaned every two days. - Great. Restaurant Osteria 10 minutes by foot away, further shops in Marlia half an hour by foot reachabe, with car any problem. Tip: Take with you a medicine against moscitos, spray or gel. GKu

Excellent Multiple Family Holiday Villa

This is an excellent venue in idyllic Tuscan countryside. The rooms are all of more than adequate size with en-suite bathroooms and air con. Large kitchen and dining area, but the real plus is the outside barbecue and seating. The pool is a good size and was regularly cleaned. The property (locally called Villa Pieve) is in a secluded location off a gravel road, you can walk to the local town where there are some nice restaurants, the local supermarket is about 2k from the villa. Excellent location to visit Lucca, Pisa and Florence, all in all a villa you will find hard to beat for the price.

This was the perfect place for our family of 10 to relax and unwind midway through our Italian adventure! Close enough for day trips to Lucca and Florence while still providing the peacefulness of the Tuscan countryside. Vittorio and Barbara were especially attentive to all details making our visit smooth and enjoyable. Just what we needed! Thank you so much for your wonderful hospitality!

Molto tranquillo e confortevole. Personale molto gentile e preparato.

Soggiorno piacevole, rilassante in un bel contesto. Proprietari molto cortesi e personale gentilissimo. Sicuramente da consigliar. Noi eravamo in quattro più due bambini e ci siamo trovati benissimo. Il periodo di due settimane che abbiamo fatto a cavallo di ferragosto ci faceva pensare a rumore e confusione. Nulla di tutto questo ma sole, pace e relax.
