THE VILLA: Clementina is a charming country Villa located in Prazeres (Calheta), combining quiet rural surroundings with superb views over the sea. Its elevated location over the oceanic cliffs and high sun exposure in one of the warmest places of Madeira, provides pleasant temperatures all year around. Surrounded by natural landscapes and uninterrupted views of the Atlantic coastline, this charming Villa boasts a rustic-modern décor, premium finishes and an intimate setting with total privacy, ideal for holidays in family or in group who want to visit and explore the best of Madeira island. Dining on the outdoor terrace, enjoying the sunset from the upper lounge or swimming in its infinity heated pool while enjoying the surrounding natural scenery will be unforgettable experiences. Villa Clementina is part of "SOUL Madeira - charming villas" collection and is an old house that has been fully restored and prepared with affection for tourism. Rustic features were well kept and it position over the cliffs and ocean was harnessed in the best way. Located in Prazeres, the Villa is few minutes drive from Jardim do Mar, Calheta, Paúl do Mar, Rabaçal and other island attractions. Here you can enjoy one of the island's unique sandy beaches, wonderful sunsets, a rich seafood / fish cuisine, trekking through the surrounding valleys, mountain biking, activities for kids, as well as a wide diversity of water sports (sport fishing, surfing, diving, sailing, water skiing, etc.). This part of the island also has several good restaurants, bars, supermarkets and other facilities, and is well connected with the rest of the island by modern highways, allowing reach Funchal in less than 35 minutes, the airport in 45 minutes and the north coast in 30 minutes. INSIDE: 3 suites with sea view and independent access to the outside area: 1 on the ground floor and 2 on the upper floor. The connection between the 2 floors is done independently through external stairs. The panoramic kitchen, is modern and is fully equipped, including with a complete laundry. 1 extra bed for a child and 1 baby cot are available. OUTSIDE: The terraces and gardens are south facing, with excellent sun exposure, spacious and with panoramic views over the surrounding mountains and ocean. In addition to the excellent sun exposure, the main terrace has a heated infinity pool (24h access) with external hot water shower and an outdoor dining area. Heated pool service has a 20 Euros/day additional charge. The rooftop terrace is an ideal lounge area for relaxing and enjoying the sunset while sipping a fine Madeira wine. The Villa offers several sun loungers, hammocks, chairs, etc. to relax and enjoy the best of your holiday. Parking spaces in the Villa. Fully equipped outdoor barbecue. AT GUESTS' DISPOSAL: As a courtesy, Villa Clementina offers you a small welcome basket with some products and a regional wine. All linen and towels are provided, including pool towels. For stays longer than one week, an intermediate cleaning is provided free of charge for each week. All children are welcome. The house is ready to receive them and we have a baby crib and a baby chair available (upon prior consultation). Elle a sut répondre à toutes nos demandes. Le ménage en cours de séjour fut vraiment appréciable. La maison est placée en bout de chemin ( trop raide à mon goût) mais ce qui lui permet d'avoir une vue magnifique sur la vallée et l'océan. L'équipement est irréprochable et la propreté assurée. Tout est fonctionnel, moderne et décoré avec goût. Leider ist das drum herum etwas in die Jahre gekommen und schmuddelig. Die Außendusche ist kaputt. Der Blick ist fantastisch. Im Tal gibt es einige Baustellen. Somit sind tagsüber immer irgendwelche Baustellengeräusche zu hören. Die Nächte sind himmlisch still. Alles ist liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Schlafzimmer sind top. We were extremely pleased with our stay. The property very much resembled the photos, and my biggest complaint was it was so nice laying by the pool, it was hard to leave to go see the rest of the island. Property manager Joana was very accommodating and hit the perfect mix of making sure we had everything we needed without needing to bother us throughout our stay. Would highly recommend this spot to family and friends (and strangers on the internet or anyone who will listen to me really). We opted for the heated option because one of us (I won’t say who) is a baby in cold water and it was perfect. One minor note, and I don’t consider it a negative but it should be said, if you’re driving a manual vehicle, be comfortable with hills and tight turns! ##### Scott L. We moesten even wennen dat we buitenom naar onze slaapkamer moesten. Maar met de temperatuur op Madeira en het schone terras was dat snel gebeurd. So gesehen bilden die Fotos die Realität ab. Es war sauber und einmal kam sogar der Reinigungsservice inkl. Bettwäsche und Handtuchwechsel. Nun zu den Mängeln: es war etwas schwierig ins Haus zu gelangen, da kein Strom da war. Wir mussten über eine Mauer klettern um uns Zugang zum Haus zu verschaffen und um die Sicherung wieder aktivieren zu können. Der Elektriker kam dann am nächsten Tag und hat das Problem behoben. Die Zimmer im oberen rochen sehr intensiv nach Chemikalien. Den in den vorherigen Rezessionen erwähnten etwas maroden Charakter des Hauses können wir bestätigen. Eine Jalousie war defekt und die Halterung der Handbrause war kaputt, die Liegestühle am Pool waren verschmutzt. Trotzdem: Wäre nicht die eklatante Geruchsbelästigung gewesen, hätten wir den Urlaub trotz der vorhandenen Mängel uneingeschränkt genießen können. ##### Andrea R. Zu jedem Schlafzimmer gibt es ein eigenes Bad/WC plus eine super Warmwasserdusche im Pool-Bereich. Der Pool ist groß genug für einige Schwimmzüge und bietet eine tolle Aussicht auf den Atlantik. Wir haben die Pool-Heizung dazu gebucht, dadurch war auch im Oktober die Temperatur super angenehm. Die Lage des Hauses ist traumhaft, für Blick einfach super. Gut geeignet für Ausflüge ins Umland, zum Wandern, Whale Watching und anderem. Ein Auto ist fast ein Muss, aber das lohnt sich auf Madeira meiner Meinung nach immer. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet, es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Sehr bequeme Betten, ausreichend Handtücher und auch in der Küche fehlt es an nichts. Wer des Auto Fahrens nicht so ganz mächtig ist erreicht das Haus aber nur schwerlich. Äußerst enge und steile Zufahrt. Die Einrichtung ist allerdings 70er Jahre Style. Morbider Charme mit Gebrauchsspuren. Winzige Badezimmer und teilweise sehr enge Zimmertüren. Die beiden oberen Zimmer sind bei schlechtem Wetter nur mit Regencape zu erreichen. We have just returned from a wonderful 2 week holiday in Madeira. The property was lovely but does need some cosmetic work doing to it (someone did come to look at one of the issues whilst we were there). The views from the property are amazing. There is some building work taking place in the valley below but this didn't really bother us. We did like to have the bedroom door open to let the breeze blown through but we did get a few little visitors so be warned. Joana was very helpful and responded to our queries quickly. Nope - there is nothing wrong Die Lage - ein bisschen ab vom Schuss aber mit Mietwagen ist das nebensächlich - die Aussicht grandios! Im Tal ist ein Steinbruch - der hört man - uns hat es nicht gestört. Das Haus ideal für Erwachsene - die oberen 2 Schlafzimmer (jedes mit eigenem Bad) und die obere große Terrasse ist über eine Außentreppe erschlossen. Das heißt, man kann sich auch aus dem Weg gehen. für Familien mit Kleinkindern dürfte die räumliche Trennung schwierig sein. Die Ausstattung - es ist alles da was man braucht und sogr mehr (wir haben das Bügelbrett nicht genutzt). Geschitt, Pfannen, Töpfe ... alles neuwertig und appetitlich (da sieht man schon ganz anderes). Handtücher mehrt als genug und ebenso wie die Bettwäsche in guter Qualität. Nach einer Woche gibt es eine Hausreinigung und frische Wäsche - sehr angenehm. Das Detail macht den Unterschied! Die Bilder im Inserat entsprechen der Realität - da ist nichts geschönt oder in Scene gesetzt. Das Management - Joana - freundlich und kompetent - sehr professionell. Wir haben und zu 100% wohlgefühlt und watren nicht das letztemal dort - wenn Madeira, dann bitte so ##### Michael P. Das Haus bietet alles was man für einen tollen Urlaub braucht. 3 Schlafzimmer mit separaten Eingang, so ist man auch ein wenig unabhängig, wenn man es möchte. Dazu ein Wohnzimmer mit PayTV (englisch) und eine große Küche mit Spülmaschine. Es gibt zusätzlich aussen einen kleinen Raum mit Waschmachine, Bügelbrett etc. Das Highlight ist der große Pool, welcher beheizt ist ,it frt grandiosen Aussicht. Es werden zwar keine 28 Grad, aber das war bei 16 Grad Aussentemperatur auch schwierig. Es empfiehlt sich den Pool abends abzudecken, so ist das Wasser am Morgen deutlich wärmer. Wir haben den Aussenkamin als Grill genutzt und dafür Holzkohle genommen. Da es eine Aussenbeleuchtung gibt, hat alles auch wunderbar geklappt. Der CheckIn lief komplett ohne direkten Kontakt. Es gibt einen Safe vor der Tür mit Code. Dieser wird von der immer freundlichen Betreuung kurz vorher mitgeteilt. Alles in allen ein schöner Urlaub mit professioneller Unterstützung und Betreung der Agentur vor Ort. Großes Dank an Joana. ##### Dennis F. Highlight ist auf jeden Fall der Pool. Uns hat etwas gestört, dass es so wenig Schatten gab (insgesamt ein Sonnenschirm, bei sechs Personen einfach zu wenig), hier wäre ein Markise super. Nur mit Mietauto zu erreichen, da etwas abgelegen aber ideal zum Wandern und Ausflüge überall auf der Insel. Die Ausstattung des Objektes ist mehr als üppig, alles da und gut gepflegt. Beheizter Pool kostet extra ,aber unbedingt zu empfehlen. Die nette Kontaktperson vor Ort ist sehr professionell und immer erreichbar.
