"Relax garden house matched perfectly what we wished for. Tranquility and comfort is what we needed and what we got in this accomodation. From brand new decorations and modern interior, super clean conditions to a very comfortable bed with huge blanket and bedsheets in hotel quality, everything was perfect and made our stay very enjoyable. The view out the windows and from the terrace is beautiful and you can see all the way down to the sea on one side and to the green mountains on the other...

"Pros: Ruime woonruimte met tuin gedeeltelijk in de zon waardoor niet al te warm. Altijd parkeergelegenheid voor de deur. Haven met restaurants waar je elke avond voor weinig en veel keuze heerlijk kunt eten. Cons: Slaapkamer is beneden aan de straat/parkeerterrein waar ook werklieden met vrachtauto's en trekkers langskomen; dit leverde veel geluid op. Voor verblijf met >2 personen onhandige verdeling met badkamer toilet alleen bereikbaar via slaapkamer beneden."

The location served as an ideal base for exploring the island, and the accommodations were spotless and comfortable. ​A special thanks to André and Margarida, who were exceptional hosts. From the moment we walked in and Michelle greeted us so warmly, until we checked out five days later, our stay was made special by the helpful staff, clean rooms, with lovely views, and super food. All the staff would go above and beyond to meet our every needs and even some special requests. The hotel is in a lovely small village with lots of walking and nearby sights to see. "I recently stayed at this lovely one-bedroom property in Fajã da Ovelha, hosted by Irina, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I chose this spot for its location—it’s on the south coast, where the weather is generally better, and the sea views are stunning. It’s just a short stroll to the coast, and everything felt peaceful and off the beaten path.I came to Madeira for photography, and the location worked perfectly. Ponta do Pargo Lighthouse and Levada are within a 10min drive away, whilst most landmarks like Fanal Forest and the dramatic sea stacks of Ribeira da Janela are within 45mins. Irina was incredibly accommodating, too. My flight was delayed by two days, and she kindly adjusted my booking so I didn’t lose any time—no extra charge, just genuine hospitality.The apartment itself was spacious and cozy for a one-bed. The kitchen was well-equipped, with plenty of fridge space, a great oven, and a reliable gas hob—perfect for cooking after a long day of shooting. It felt like a home away from home.One of the highlights was Irina’s two Alsatians, Essa and Enola. They were friendly and well-behaved, adding to the warm, welcoming atmosphere. Irina herself was lovely—helpful and informative, but never intrusive.Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough. It’s a great base for exploring Madeira’s photography hotspots, and the hospitality is top-notch. I’d happily stay again!"

"while the weather was beyond anyone’s control, I had such a cozy stay and was perfect for the R&R that I needed. The grounds, the room and the entire property was so delightful though there were other guests. I don’t think I saw even one! It was truly so lovely in the rooms. I think everyone was cozied up by their fires during the rainy evenings. I really loved the grocery store, though the prices are a bit higher than in store, you’re paying for the convenience of all your necessities being right there and I thought that was really nice. Plus your room already comes with plenty of eggs, cheese and bacon for breakfast cereals, granola and yogurt as well as milk and juice so there’s not really much else to grab unless you are going to make a nice dinner. I truly loved all of the kitties, despite I’m allergic, they were adorable, kept to themselves, and we’re awfully cuddly when I was leaving (They are also vaccinated so there’s no worries.) on top of that there are chickens, ducks, and sheep on the property and I hope to come back when the weather is better to enjoy that beautiful pool, the vegetation, and the beautiful views! thank you again for such a wonderful stay and apologies again for setting off the fire alarm! 😂 i’ve got to get used to using those cast-iron stoves! "
