Here, you can plan to start the day doing a “levada” walk in Rabaçal area and finish the day diving into the crystal clear waters of Jardim do Mar. If you prefer to stay at home you will have the possibility to swith the dip in the private pool with some barbecue snacks. With two bedrooms, one with queen-size bed, the other with two single beds, this house has a maximum capacity of 4 people. It is ideal for a family holiday. Or couple. Or with friends. It has all the necessary amenities and a superb view. It also has private parking space. THE NEIGHBORHOOD OVERVIEW Situated in the west, this house is in the must sun exposed area of the Island of Madeira. About 5 minutes drive away is the center of Calheta where you will find the yellow sand beach, several restaurants and a supermarket. Calheta has the Museum of Contemporary Art, a fantastic architectural masterpiece. Jardim do Mar and Paúl do Mar are a 10-minute drive away. These two small villages offer beach, animation and a very own beauty. Closer, in the vicinity, you will find small bars/restaurants and grocery stores. GETTING AROUND We recommend the private transfer service as the best option to get to the house. Contact us in advance to schedule a private transfer car with our local partners. It is cheaper than taking a taxi by your own in the airport! GUEST ACCESS Guests have access to all areas of the house. INTERACTION WITH GUESTS We are always at your disposal to help or to answer your questions. You can contact us via our mobile numbers or by email. We will do our best to meet your requests. OTHER OBSERVATIONS \-Please be advised that a Tourist Fee will be charged to all persons staying overnight in the municipality of Calheta. Thus, all customers staying in tourist resorts and/or accommodation establishments, aged 13 or over, will be charged €2.00 per person/night, up to a maximum of 7 nights and a maximum of €14.00 per person/stay. Eine super ausgestattete Küche, bequeme Betten, großzügige Duschbäder, einen großen und bequemen Wohn- Essbereich, eine geräumige Terrasse, einen schönen Pool - und einen traumhaften Blick über den mit Bananen bewachsenen Hang auf den Atlantik. Wir waren zu Dritt und haben uns rundherum sehr wohl gefühlt, konnten nach den Ausflügen über die Insel perfekt im Pool und auf der Terrasse entspannen und den Sonnenuntergang genießen. Gastgeberin Rita hat uns herzlich empfangen und nicht nur einen liebevoll zusammengestellten Willkommenskorb mit heimischen Spezialitäten vorbereitet, sondern auch noch selbstgebackenes Brot, Kuchen und Früchte aus ihrem Garten vorbeigebracht. Her communication, tips and recommendations were on point. On top of that the place offers everything you need to have a good time. Whether you want to prepare a packed lunch for a hike in the mountains, have a simple barbecue or cook a 3 course dinner to enjoy while watching the sunset, this place has it all. Even if you don't feel like doing anything at all, the inviting deck with its swimmingpool and oceanview has got you covered. Above all the hospitality of the host Rita, with her friendly personality and recommendations of what there is to do around Arco Da Calheta, was amazing and topped our perfect stay off nicely. She gave us a warm welcome, was available on any moment, gave us good advises, there was a welcome basket with specialties from Madeira, wine, fruits and water and she even surprised us with a home baked orangecake! We stayed for five nights over Easter with our two year old daughter. The villa was even better than the pictures. Spotlessly clean in every room, with plenty of storage but also with all the things you might need on a holiday. Rita and her son were lovely hosts and we were very grateful for the starter pack of food they bought us since the shops were closed for Easter. The view from the terrace is divine. Even on a cold or wet day, you can sit inside and see the private pool and the sea beyond from the lounge and both bedrooms. Evenings on the terrace with a glass of wine were blissful, and Rita provided some wood so that we could cook dinner on the outdoor bbq. The location is great for the little beach at Calheta (which also has a good playground if you have young children) and for Funchal (about a 30-40 minute easy drive). You do need a car, but assuming you have one, I would not hesitate to recommend this beautiful place. ##### Christopher O.
