Situated on the Wild Atlantic Way, on the outskirts of Cahersiveen town, The Waterfront offers great space and comfort. This impressive property enjoys spectacular views of the Fertha River Estuary and surrounding mountains. The living room boasts panoramic views of the constantly changing sea and mountain landscape, a perfect place to relax and unwind after a day exploring this beautiful part of Kerry. This modern property has five large bedrooms two of which are en suite and two bathrooms. The bright and spacious living room has a solid fuel burning stove. The modern kitchen with adjoining utility room and dining room are fully equipped with plenty of storage space. Outside is ample off road parking, private enclosed lawned garden and picnic area. Amenities: Oil central heating with woodburner. Electric oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, TV with Saorview, DVD, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Bed linen and towels included in rent, also starter pack for fire. The town of Cahersiveen boasts wonderful seafood restaurants, coffee shops and pubs with traditional music. The local area has spectacular Blue Flag beaches - The White Strand (5km), Kells (10km), Ballinskelligs (15km). Activities available locally : hill walking, cycling (bikes available for hire in Cahersiveen), swimming, water sports, golf, horse riding, angling, clay pigeon shooting, Beentee Loop Walk, Cnoc na dTobar mountain climb, archealogical sites Cahergeal and Leacnabuaile stone forts, Ballycarbery Castle. Recommended: Trip to the Skellig Rock a once in a lifetime experience to visit a monastic settlement that is a UNESCO heritage site and location of recent Star Wars films, boats leave Portmagee daily weather permitting. Nous avons passé une semaine très agréable au waterfront. La maison est très spacieuse, confortable et propre. Le village de caherciveen est sympathique et les paysages du Kerry sont splendides. Fiona said that she had not had any previous complaints and did come back to vacuum the property but it required a deep and thorough clean and a lot of maintenance to bring it up to an acceptable level ,especially during a pandemic when Covid-19 cleaning should be followed and evident. Some issues involved very old cobwebs and dead flies throughout the house especially in the glass fronted lounge. Food crumbs and debris under the sofa cushions. Cobwebs and hair around and under the beds bases. Mould and damp on the walls and in the bathrooms. Broken toilet seats and one shower which was still to be fixed. Broken curtain rails and missing curtains/ blinds. Wire sticking out of the wall with no light attached. Broken bedside light. No DVD player as advertised. I do not like writing bad reviews but as a holiday property owner myself I know what is expected and what should be provided in a holiday home with cleanliness and good maintenance being essential. We paid for the 1 nights accommodation and have had a partial refund but are still waiting for the remaining money. ##### joanne m. The owner was really nice and helpful and patient. All was clean and we had a wonderful view to the water, as the name of the house says. The rooms have been big enough, the fire was cozy, the heater worked, the weather was gorgeous, all was great for the 9 of us. And we surely want to return as soon as possible! The house was perfect for the four of us. Easily could have had 6 more people with no problem. We only had one car but plenty of room for a couple more. We did a lot of hiking and got a bit muddy so having a washer and dryer was wonderful. The house was very well kept and Fiona couldn't have been nicer. The views from the sitting room were amazing.
