Good value practical apartment in a good location
Overall we liked this apartment, it was quite compact but with two two rooms, 2 toilets and a bath room and well equipped kitchen area it was perfect for our needs. we had a few issues getting in initially as we arrived early morning ahead of check in but after this was sorted it was good. the rooms were clean, the doors and security was good ( no 24 hour attendance desk) Located near to both the shopping areas and the nightlife of Soho and Palermo

Check In Instructions Nightmare/Noisy location
The check in process was not clear and extremely difficult. They weren't clear as to where and how I should pick up the key, thus leaving me outside for a total of 3 hours before I was able to check in. The apartment itself was situated in a loud street in Palermo, while it was back facing and not street facing, in the back is a cultural center. On Sundays there are community nights and the noise doesn't go down until 2am if not later. In the daytime, there is a children's school, and hence more noise throughout the day. The apartment itself smelled of mold, and my allergies flared up even more. The apartment itself is as pictured in the photos, it gets a lot of light in the daytime since there are windows on both sides of the flat.

I had two major inconveniences during my stay at Babel Soho. 1) The instructions for access I had to claim very insistently, although I spoke on November 4 with a representative to let them know that I would arrive at dawn. 2) A person entered the apartment with his card at 2:30 am. It was very uncomfortable . I informed the reception but they never gave me an explanation.

Not really a hotel
This is not really a hotel, it is 16 unit apartment building where some of the units are being rented out on various platforms in addition to expedia. Consequently there is no real front desk. After hours, good luck. Our electronic door key quit working, and we were locked out of our room with no way to get in or even contact the management. Fortunately and strangely, another guest tried their key on our door and it opened! The particular room we were assigned was on the first floor above a street with major bus lines. We couldn't keep the door to the deck open without the loud noise of the buses and the choking exhaust as sometimes up to five buses would be out front idling awaiting the green lingo at the next intersection. The $100 US key deposit was a surprise. But we got it back.
