Therefore it is important that all late check out requests should be made AT LEAST THE NIGHT before your departure to ensure that our cleaners have plenty of time to finish their work! If you need to check out after 12pm, an extra HALF DAY rate will be charged through Airbnb and the payment must be made on and before the night you check out for your request to be approved. Upon arrival, the apartment had clearly not been properly cleaned, which significantly impacted the quality and comfort of our stay. I notified the host who didn’t get back to me until the following day, by which I had to clean the apartment myself to feel comfortable overnight. I shared photos of the issues with the host of these issues upon arrival.When I raised these concerns with the host, the initial response was a 20 compensation offer, which was inadequate given the cleaning fee paid and the impact on our stay. After further discussion, this was increased to half the cleaning fee, and finally, the full cleaning fee was refunded. While I appreciate the eventual appropriate resolution, the process required multiple follow-ups and escalations, with responses often feeling impersonal and ChatGPT automated rather than showing genuine customer care. ##### fredrika m.
