Margaret is certainly in her element, she makes you feel welcomed from the moment you walk through the door. Her home and property is just amazing and bonus, what’s not to love about the very quaint Mahone Bay. I’m so looking forward to my next visit!!

Very easy check in....clean, spacious and relaxing....

Really good breakfast. Choice of Homemade frittata, eggs, bacon, sausage, cereal, toast homemade jams and salsa, fresh fruit, cheeses or all the above. Comfortable beds. Our host Michael did a great job and made us feel at home. Would highly recommend.

I have stayed at the Blackforest cabins four times now and every time we have a very clean positive experience. There has been great communication and easy instructions for checking in and checking out. I wish they had deals for reoccurring customers because it is pretty expensive to stay even for one night.

The property was lovely. We had help taking our luggage up the stairs. Thank goodness. Room was booked for three ladies and purposely paid for suite that advertised 1 king bed and 1 double bed. There was a king bed and it was great. However there was no double bed to be found. Turns out the double bed was a sofa that converted to a bed. This should be clearly stated as such. For 310.00 for one night we expected what we had booked. Please change your add to state 1 king bed and one double sofa...

Wonderful staff especially at the front desk! In no time at all we became familiar with the key local attractions and the many hotel amenities. We could not have been better welcomed!

I loved everything about the property except for the rooms with the slot. That business took front and over the hotel guests staying at the property. It was not mentioned by Expedia for the booking and I was not impressed with that at all. Will be looking closer at all bookings especially with Expedia.
