I booked this vacation rental as a surprise birthday getaway for my husband, and we were both thoroughly impressed! The pictures don't do the view justice. We literally spent hours on the deck just staring off into the distance while listening to the sounds of nature. It was mesmerizing! The house itself is so cozy and has everything you could possibly need. We particularly enjoyed gazing at the stars from the hot tub after dark. The bed in the master bedroom was quite comfortable, and if you leave the curtains open, you can even enjoy the beautiful view from bed! Debbie went above and beyond to make this a special weekend with a sweet birthday note accompanied by a bottle of wine, chocolates, and a birthday treat! She was great with communication for any questions I had and provided lots of information for those who aren't familiar with the area. We have traveled to SC or NC for the past several years to celebrate Thanksgiving and we are always seeking a home nestled in the mountains. Often we have sacrificed the accommodations for the view- at APOV we did not have to! The home was so well appointed, all the right touches. You can trust the photos online. The view was as incredible as other guest have described. I am a cook and I loved being able to prepare meals in an open kitchen while enjoying my families company as they played cards, studied, watched tv in the dining and living rooms. The appliances are top notch! Communication with our host was amazing- incredible detail with directions and such a willingness to answer any questions and to be helpful in any way. My husband said best accommodations to date, and my daughters said best Thanksgiving memories. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home- we will certainly be back again! ##### Kimberly C.
