However, there was a drip in the shower that was very annoying particularly in the smaller bedroom. I called to arrange maintenance and was told someone would stop by. I spoke to the man who was to stop by and he did not have the equipment to repair the drip and said he would pass the information on to the correct person. I never heard any more from the number I called and no one came to fix the drip.There was only one sheet on the bed in the master bedroom. We had to sleep between the bottom sheet and the blanket. Check-in was easy and the kitchen was convenient. I highly recommend kayaking on the Russian River. We had a fantastic tour guide and there were very few people around so we got to enjoy the wildlife. Being from Wisconsin, we have always poked fun at the California Happy Cow commercials. We appreciated the informational email & phone check from the rental agency. Living room furniture cute & comfy but sofa seat cushion could use a good cleaning. Oven was old, gas burners needed to be lit (a warning about that might’ve been helpful) and we could not figure out how to light the oven so it went unused. Exterior is old (and charming) but could use a few repairs and general maintenance. Interior was better but still a few areas needing attention (bathroom). Wonderful outdoor spaces. We appreciated all the coffee table books with their beautiful photographs. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Difficult to leave! ##### Leslie C. All doors to outside need to be weather sealed (very drafty). Some dishes/cups are chipped (in several places) and should be replaced. Yard is overgrown. I spent a quiet week working with great internet access and grandchildren ages 5 and 6 came over the weekend and enjoyed the cute twin bedroom and walk to beach. The coziest of cozy cottages! Everything here was an ideal portrait of bodega bay. I don’t think we’ve ever felt more at home in a rental. Pure bliss! Beds? So comfy, storage tucked away everywhere. It was such a pleasant surprise to enter the quaint fishing village and find the cottage perched up on the hill with a slice of a view of Salmon River and the ocean in the distance. The house was appointed with everything you could need, beds were very comfortable, shower was great, electric wood stove made for a very cozy retreat from the cold windy weather we were experiencing. Location was perfect...close to everything and a very short walk to a beautiful stretch of beach. We will certainly be hoping to return to this charming cottage in the future. ##### Cheryl M. Close walking distance to beach. Cottage clean, comfortable, had all the essentials we needed. Had a couple of issues, called for assistance and received prompt service, including serviceman coming to cottage to check heater. Excellent. Only other issue were ants in the kitchen each morning. It was cool at night but the gas fireplace made the livingroom cosy. The beds were comfortable and the location is perfect: quiet, 2 minutes from the sand dunes and beach and close to beautiful hikes and great seafood restaurants.
