Skyline Lodge is ideal for families or a romantic getaway. Offering privacy and solitude in the gated community of Black Ankle Mountain, it's just minutes from all the activities that await you in the Aska Adventure Area.

With its black bear-themed décor and upscale rustic furniture, Goldilocks would surely think this lodge is just right. Frolic here in the summertime or hibernate in winter…You have all the makings of a great vacation right here at your fingertips no matter the season!

The huge main floor offers views as far as the eye can see in every direction. Curl up next to the cozy gas log fireplace and gaze out through the seemingly endless windows. Whether making snacks for the kids or marking a special occasion with a celebratory meal, the spacious kitchen offers all the room and amenities you'll need to please the crowd.

The “bear's den” downstairs is a veritable playground for cubs. There's plenty of room to romp, with lots of games, including foosball, and a large DVD collection when they're ready to wind down and watch a movie. There's even a bedroom off of the main area with its own bathroom, two full size beds and a Barbie house for the kids to play with!

Indulge in all the great North Georgia Mountains' offerings nearby. Get your paws on some tubes and float leisurely down the Toccoa, relishing your serene surroundings. Commune with nature on an exhilarating hike through the mountains or a peaceful day of fly fishing.

For more leisurely pursuits, head into town for a little shopping and a pampering spa treatment, take a scenic drive through the mountains, then return to the cabin for a spectacular sunset on the “wine deck.”

Grill outside for the clan and have a picnic outdoors on the deck, or have a local chef prepare a romantic dinner for two. Lounge on the Adirondack chairs with a cool glass of iced tea, or head down to the lower deck for a moonlit dip in the hot tub. On cooler evenings, the large fire pit provides a warm and inviting place for stargazing.

Views abound in the master bedroom upstairs, with its soaring, vaulted ceilings and cozy private deck for you and your honey. Lounge with a good book in the spacious, adjoining loft, or climb into bed and catch your favorite show on the large flat screen TV.

Blue Ridge Weekend
We had a Scenic Railroad ride and zipline experience planned. Both were further from the cabin than we thought but enjoyed both. 4 nights was not enough but a long weekend was enough to unwind. The cabin was great! The drive way to the cabin not so fun. We had a 4 wheel drive and we would highly recommend that especially for any bad weather. The cabin was further from Blue Ridge than we thought. But we got to know the area.

Wonderful time
Went with my family, two late teens, two in their late forties, and two in their early 70s. We all had a blast. The cabin was beautiful and the views were absolutely stunning. We will be talking about that view for years to come. We called to see if firewood was provided for the fire pit day of arrival and whoever took my call was so helpful. She explained the area and where to stop For food and firewood before getting there. She told us to stop at Taccoa riverside restaurant.’ Honest to god. Go and get the trout and sit for that view. The property is challenging to get to but worth it. The scenery is enough to make these Florida beach residents questioning their life choices.

Beautiful home beautiful view. We asked for an early check in, turned out we didn’t need to, but they were willing to make an exception without any push back. That was very much appreciated. We had a great time, wish we could have stayed longer.

My family stayed here during spring break and we loved it!! The view is amazing and it was so relaxing. The place was clean and had everything we needed. The steep driveway was the only intimidating oart but we did okay. Wonderful place!!

Wonderful once we got there!
We had a girls trip this weekend to Skyline Lodge. One of the reviews I read mentioned that the drive up to the cabin was terrifying and I thought they were just not used to driving in the mountains. The drive up to the cabin is terrifying! Parking is very difficult around the cabin (we had three vehicles). Aside from the last quarter mile of the drive, the cabin is lovely. We did have some trouble with the basement level being very cold, but there are instructions on how to remedy the situation. The hot tub was great, the kitchen had everything we needed, the view was incredible. We’ll definitely be back!

Log Cabin 2023 with Amazing Views!
We had an incredible stay! The house and property were incredibly clean and organized, well decorated, and peaceful. The cabin looks just like the pictures. Helpful Tips: 1) Cell service goes out about 45 minutes before the cabin, and you do need to print/screen shot the directions provided to you after you book to get to the location. The cabin itself has great Wifi! 2) The roads to the cabin & up the driveway are steep. Definitely suggest making the drive up in daylight for the first time. 3) The kitchen is fully stocked with most needed appliances, dishes, and silverware. You will want to pack (or pick up about an hour before arrival, before you'd start the journey up the mountain): crock pot (if you want one), bottled water, food, spices, cooking spray, big coffee or hot chocolate mugs if you like big ones! 4) Suggested meals: We brought a crock pot and made a lot of soups/chili/etc. which was lovely in the cabin environment and served our group. Oatmeal, pancake mix, S'mores, hot chocolate were also good choices! 5) Cabin was stocked with flashlights, batteries, dish detergent, towels! 6) Other suggested items: There are plentiful blankets, but bring more if you want or have a big group! Bring laundry detergent if you plan to do laundry. We couldn't burn fire outside do to a fire ban with dry weather this trip, but duraflame logs would be good to bring for that. Elegant lodge at the Top of the Mountain!
Skyline Lodge was the perfect place to stay for a panorama view of the Blue Ridge mountains. Sunsets were breathtaking from our balcony. Kristy and JT made us feel at home and even had a nice welcome package for us. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were very spacious. Everything we needed for a stay was provided. With 3 large bedrooms, playroom for kids, hot tub and firepit, this is perfect for a large family or friend get togethers!!

Tranquility at its best
We vacation to Blue Ridge annually and have stayed in several different cabins. Of course each location is always a unique experience. This cabin did have the best overall view from the panoramic windows on the main level. You really felt like you were in the mountains. It was very private, with only a handful of nearby cabins. That being said, the drive up the mountain could be challenging for some depending on the weather as there were some steep grades. I have a 2 wheel drive Silverado, and only had tire slipping during rainy conditions. Despite that, it is worth the experience. EBR was very friendly and quickly resolved our minor issues regarding trash bags and gas fireplace issues. If your looking for a secluded mountain get away then definitely consider this cabin. Keep in mind, it is about 30 minutes to groceries and downtown, and about 15 minutes to a convenience store. It really wasn’t an issue for us though as we brought a good supply of food/essentials with us.
