NOTE: It is a two mile off road rustic experience to the cabin from the main road, with occasional steep inclines and dirt/gravel terrain. Although 2-wheel drive vehicles can make it with some skilled driving, a 4-wheel drive or AWD is highly recommended. If you are unfamiliar with mountain roads this may not be the cabin for you. But it is definitely worth the humps & bumps when you get here! Plan ahead and stop at one of the food/supply stores on your way in, as it is about 20-25 minutes from the cabin once there. Walmart & grocery/fast food stores are plentiful in either Ellijay to the south or Blue Ridge to the north. \*\*\*Our Pet fee is $60 per pet (maximum 2 with prior approval) for your entire stay. Due to allergies, No cats please! Weight limit of 25lbs per dog (over 25lbs with prior approval). Once we accept your reservation, We will make the adjustment for the pet fee of $60 NO pets allowed on furniture! Please note that there will be additional fees for excessive dog hair on furniture, beds, couches and/or damage to leather furniture. Please use the provided medium dog crate/kennel if you are leaving them at the cabin alone at any time to avoid “separation accidents”! If we have approved a larger dog, we ask that you bring your own larger crate/kennel for your pet. You will find that Ellijay & Blue Ridge are very pet friendly if you plan to take them into town or on a local hike! We have a designated pet waste station next to the trash bin. Great hosts to book with as well. The hot tub and porch swing area is very private and cozy. Would definitely stay again. Check-in was very easy, and the host was very responsive with great communication—even sharing a list of their favorite local places to visit. We enjoyed sitting in the rocking chairs at night listening to the sounds of nature, and the hot tub on the lower deck was spectacular for relaxing after a long day of hiking and sightseeing. We even spotted a black bear cub, which made the trip extra special. Even had flashlights and emergency lantern when power went out after a storm the first night and the host messaged to check on us. Myself, a coworker, and her b/f rented the cabin for an extended birthday weekend stay! Was absolutely thrilled with the peacefulness of the stay. Very cool quite mornings spent sitting in rocking chairs or laying across the porch swing on the lower level enjoying a cup of coffee! The grill was a fantastic asset as it was used daily for lunch/dinner! The host was very responsive with answers to any questions I had and communicated fantastically prior to the stay letting us know what to expect getting to the property & things to do around town! The property was fantastic for the kids to explore the woods and enjoy nature. Hiking, hot tubs, and cozy movie nights in front of the fire. Even when inclement weather and freak tornado conditions arose, the owners communicated with us quickly to ensure safety and security as well as comfort. I can’t give enough kudos to the owners of this little piece of paradise! We will certainly be back when time allows in our busy schedules. The owner was incredibly attentive to any email questions and needs and the property was just serene. Definitely need AWD or 4WD, I discounted this not expecting Georgia to have any challenging roads. My wife’s AWD got us up there easy but would be challenging in 2WD.
