"Staff were so friendly, lived the area and the vibe "

"The rooms are clean although a little dated. The bed was very comfortable. We arrived around dark and were extremely exhausted from many hours of driving. We were up early the next morning and on the road again. We stayed here 2 different times in a 10 day period, on the way to Florida and on the way back. It wasn't the first time we've stayed here and probably won't be the last. The area just west of there on I24 is beautiful and we would love to actually STAY in the area sometime instead of just passing through. If you are actually staying for a while, book a cabin, they are well worth it (did that in the past). Would also be really nice if they got their restaurant fully opened back up like it was before the fire some years ago; I was lucky enough to enjoy a great breakfast there in 2019."

"Overall, it was a place to sleep. The facilities were old and covered in bad patch jobs. The bathrooms had mold stains. The carpets were just as bad. But the staff was nice and the rate was cheap. Not the worst place I've stayed in."

"This property tries hard. They are banking on being close to Ruby falls. Management operates very much like a house rental, meaning not room service and no office. Door code access. Rental agreement is emailed to you once you book with stipulations. The property has be renovated and provides a fair amount of amenities. Room was clean but was fairly small. There wasn't a security lock or door chain. The traffic outside was very close to the room and was very loud through windows and door. There is a door leading to a removed balcony that has a waist high "guard" rail, but should be converted into a window only. I could pick apart little things but its a decent room on the far side of Chattanooga within 15 min of downtown. "

"The hotel had on-site parking. Check in/out was super easy; the front desk staff was professional and to the point on details. The 3rd floor was quiet, very little noise overall, even being so close to the freeway. My room was overall clean and cozy. Was it 100% perfect? No. If you sat and looked for imperfections you could definitely find them, but nothing that took away from the experience or made me uncomfortable. It was definitely a pleasant stay for the location and what I paid."

"We recently stayed at The Read House hotel in Chattanooga and were very disappointed by how a serious cleanliness issue was handled. Ou our first evening, we found a live cockroach in our room. We killed it and immediately called the front desk. Someone to pick up the tissue with the bug, without saying a word and left. We never received an apology, follow-up or any acknowledgement afterward. At checkout, we mentioned the incident again to a different staff member, and she didn't react or apologize either, which lead us to believe that this was not an isolated incident and that the hotel staff is aware of the issue. For a hotel in this price range, we expect at least a basic acknowledgment of the situation and some reassurance that it would be addressed. This experience really affected our impression of the hotel."
