Les chambres sont assez spacieuse et la literie confortable, même si cela semble un peu vieillot...(c'est peu être à la mode en Angleterre..?) Toutefois, pour ce tarif on y est bien mieux que dans une chaine d'hôtel style F1... Bref pour un séjour sans se ruiner sur Durham et sa région, je recommande vivement cet hôtel ! »

« We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely, tastefully decorated cottage. We had a few queries before our stay which were answered efficiently both by email and phone. The location was superb as only a short drive to Barnard Castle. Would highly recommend this property for a truly comfortable stay. Our only minor criticism was the post code for the property obviously covered a wide area and we ended up having to call the host for directions. More information as to how to find the property...

« Amazing. Arrived early just as they had finishy cleaning. No problem. Allowed us in good welcome pack, milk tea coffee biscuits. Everything very tastefully presented. Nothing except a playground in the village of Warcop. 5 miles to Appleby in one direction. Kirby Stephen in the other. Lovely countryside. »

« We loved our stay here. After a horrible nine hour journey we were pretty miserable when we arrived. However, when we saw the cottage we were delighted! The pictures absolutely do not do it justice. It’s well maintained, clean and comfortable. The beds were super comfy too. We were delighted to see the goats out the front the next morning and raced out to chat to them 😀 The owners are really friendly and can’t do enough for you. If we can face the journey again we will be back and for longer! »

« We had a brilliant stay at Codley Farm Cottage. The house was really comfortable and very well equipped. The welcome pack was amazing and very much appreciated after the long drive. We made good use of the free entry into the Vindolanda site (which is simply mind blowing) and the Roman Army Museum. The house is perfectly situated for lots of lovely walks all from the front door and we had a brilliant evening at the nearby Kielder Observatory. A wonderful week that we hope to repeat one day -...

« We had a lovely stay at the Aquila Cottage. Communication with Alison and James was very smooth, the cottage very clean and plenty of information of the area to be found in the cottage if you might be looking for activities to do. A very comfortable bed and nice sofa to watch some tv in the evening (we were following the Olympics a bit). All appliances in the kitchen worked perfectly and everything that we needed was at hand in the cottage. Definitely recommend! »

« The lodge was perfect. Spotlessly clean and pretty and everything you could need. However what made our holiday absolutely perfect was the garden the lodge is set in. Stunningly beautiful, magical grounds that you could see from all sides of the lodge. With a folly perfect for an outdoor fire and BBQ. Central to all of the North East and Durham attractions. I have been twice now and can’t wait to go again. Magical! »

« Arriving at the Cottage and walking in through the side door we knew we were in for real treat in this immaculate two bed Cottage, nestled in this sleepy village you couldn’t ask for more .
