The room was small but clean. At the Airport perimeter but noise of Aircraft not a problem. The reception was welcoming but there was an issue over the bill which seems to be an ongoing issue. We had to pay twice and are awaiting a refund. Close proximity to the NEC was useful. Bit overpriced for what it was. Breakfast choice limited we would have preferred Continental as an option. We were served poached eggs but unfortunately they had black pepper in them which spoilt them for us. The hotel manager, Nigel, was friendly and accommodating, the room was clean and warm and the bed very comfortable. My evening there was rounded off nicely by a few gins chatting to Nigel in the lovely hotel bar, putting the world to rights! (Could have been there much longer!) Just what I needed after a full day's event then dinner out in the evening.
