Completed in September 2019, this quintessential Montana cabin captures the first rays of sunrise over the Gallatin Range and Yellowstone mountains from the back porch, while the front porch and hot tub offer a front-row seat to Lone Peak and its magnificent sunsets. This secluded 5,000-square-foot lodge backs up to a 380-acre nature preserve, where deer, foxes, elk, moose, and bears often visit the yard. The home is not ski-accessible, but free parking is available at Big Sky Resort just a two-minute drive away, with a shuttle to the base area. Lovingly designed and outfitted by the owners over several years, Buckaroo Ridge is a welcoming retreat for family gatherings and adult getaways alike.

With four master suites, a bunkroom that sleeps six, and two additional single beds in the loft, this home comfortably accommodates up to 16 guests, with fabulous views from every bedroom. The five-bedroom lodge features five full bathrooms and one half bath, along with a spacious gathering room, cozy indoor fireplace, and elegant Western decor throughout. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, while the indoor amenities include a pool table, card table, wet bar, big-screen TVs with satellite, a Sonos sound system, and a bunkroom Xbox for the wild bunch. Walk-in showers, a boot dryer, and two washer/dryers add to the convenience. Outside, enjoy the grill, generous seating, outdoor fireplace, and eight-person hot tub. For early risers, the sunrise from the back porch is glorious, while the sunset is not to be missed from the comfort of the expansive windows or alfresco on the front porch. Even after a day of skiing or exploring, the sunset may be the highlight.

In winter, strap on your snowshoes and head straight from the back porch onto a trail through the preserve; in summer, enjoy the same gentle hike, but be sure to carry bear spray. Located in Mountain Village, the home is well positioned for exploring Big Sky and the surrounding area, with both Bozeman Airport and West Yellowstone about 45 minutes away. Whether you're spending your days skiing, exploring the outdoors, or simply soaking in the views from the hot tub, you may find it hard to leave the cabin. Ski Access:

This home is not ski accessible, but free parking is offered at Big Sky Resort and is only a two minute drive down from the house. Once in the free parking area, there is a shuttle that will bring you to the Big Sky Base area.
