Ideally located between Historic Berkeley Springs, WV (8 minutes) and Cacapon Resort State Park (10 minutes), exploration is only a short drive away. Additionally, hiking trails within the community as well as tennis/basketball courts, an outdoor seasonal pool/hot tub, and play area offer options within walking distance. And if you choose to stay in altogether, this home offers an escape room experience as well as many areas set up for relaxation and family fun! Stay cool in the summer with the central AC and keep warm in the winter with the baseboard heat. Please note that no smoking nor pets are permitted on the property and that cell phone reception varies depending on your personal service provider. There have been many fantastic renovations made to this beautiful property, we can’t wait to share with you! House Rules & Checkout Instructions This property is non-smoking. So emergency vehicles can access the surrounding roads and properties, please do not block any driveways, roads or intersections. Please do not exceed 5 vehicles. RV\`s must be parked at the recreational area, not on the property. Maximum number of guests is ten. Check in time is 3 pm or anytime after, please call our offices to see if any early check in is available the day before or the day of your arrival. Check out time is 12 noon promptly. Our housekeeping staff travels a great distance, please depart no later than 12 noon. Please bring your own personal hygiene products (shampoo, soap, toothpaste, etc). Please bring any spices and cooking preparation items (oil, foil, wax paper, etc). \* If the property has internet service, the internet logon information is located on the refrigerator We have a rental agreement that we email to you to electronically sign. While we want our guests to enjoy their visit, please be respectful of the neighbors by refraining from playing loud music or any unacceptable behavior. Guests must be twenty five years of age or older to rent this property. CHECKOUT INSTRUCTIONS: If traveling with a pet at a pet friendly property, please remove pet residue from the yard and pet hair from the cabin. Check out time is 12:00 noon promptly. Please do not leave any perishable food in the refrigerator or freezer, condiments are acceptable to leave. Please bag all trash in a standard trash bag and ensure all recyclables are bagged. Garbage service will not remove any non bagged trash. Place your garbage in the trash box at the driveway entrance (for Woods Resort Properties only, please take your garbage to the community dumpster just past the outdoor pool). Please call office for trash pick up if garbage is overflowing. Please wash all your dishes or start the dishwasher. If there is a wood burning stove or fireplace, ensure the fire is burnt all the way down and close the door or fireplace screen. DO NOT PUT WATER INSIDE FIREPLACE OR WOODSTOVE, WATER WILL CRACK THE DEVICE. Leave all ashes in the fireplace or wood stove. Campfire ring burning - if property has a campfire ring, please make sure campfire is burnt all the way down and wet down with water before departing. Please turn off all lights before departing. Ensure all windows and doors are closed and locked. During summer months, please set air conditioning to 75 degrees. During winter months, please set heat to 55 degrees. Please return key to lock box and roll the lock box numbers on all zeros (0-0-0-0). Ensure you leave the key in the lock box for housekeeping to access the property. Please leave the cabin in an orderly and reasonable condition, our housekeeping staff works very hard to make the properties sparkle. You can see a couple of neighboring houses and some car headlights occasionally but still very peaceful.The house had a great layout for us. Two bedrooms on main level was great for us older folks while three bedrooms and a second living room downstairs was perfect for the kids. I also liked that the main level felt cozy (I.e., not too big) with comfortable seating and a cool, easily accessible deck. Also, kitchen was well equipped.Only negatives were the super old appliances and downstairs bedrooms can hear every movement upstairs.Loved the place. Highly recommend. ##### Peter T. The community pool and tennis courts and, of course, trails are an added bonus. The home Wi-Fi and cellular access for some was spotty, Verizon seemed to be the best option. The hot water tank was noisy for the room closest to it so we adjusted our shower times to morning or earlier in the evenings. The retro kitchen was great and everything functional.
