This villa is furbished as for a permanent house and therefor gives you a 'being at home' feeling. Large living room with AC, flat screen TV with TV Vlaanderen (all foreign channels included, also several radio stations). Sonos box, stereo system, naya, open kitchen and Separate room with washing machine. Toilet in entrance hall. Free internet, WiFi in house and garden. Solar panels. On the ground floor: three bedrooms each with private bathroom and private toilet with access to garden and swimming pool. Full privacy, no sight of neighbors. 4 km from Calpe, 7 km from Moraira and 23 km from Benidorm. At 70 km from Alicante airport, 117 km from Valencia. The naya can be fully opened by large windows, with views of the tropical garden and the swimming pool and mountains. The naya (Spanish for covered terrace) also has a large long wooden dining table with six chairs. The house is surrounded by an open terrace, overlooking the swimming pool and garden. They can also be covered with sun sails. Downstairs there are three large bedrooms. Two bedrooms each have a large double bed and AC. A third bedroom has 2 single beds next to each other and a ceiling fan. Each bedroom has a private bathroom, each with its own toilet. We were concerned about mosquitoes having read some other reviews but we can say that we were hardly bothered; also very few wasps which was great.There are a lot of rules and instructions to be followed at the property. Really appreciated every bedroom having their own en-suite bathroom. Some noise at times from neighbouring holiday-let villas.Aircon in the bedroom worked well as was a definite plus. The villa is described as having air con in two of the bedrooms. These are small portable units and while the unit is perfectly adequate in the smallest bedroom, the portable unit in the large/main bedroom did not cool the room. Beds were comfortable and a generous size.There is no passing traffic due to the villa's location, which was great and added to privacy.Communication from the owner was always excellent. ##### Stuart H. The pool and garden area are fantastic with many areas to sit and relax. Inside is traditional and was easy to keep cool using the air con. The photos on the website truly reflect the Villa and gardens. The Villa is well appointed with plenty of space to chill out and have fun. The outdoor space is lovely with a fabulous pool, areas to relax, a BBQ and places to eat (but watch the mosquitoes they really liked us!). A good location to explore the surrounding areas but a car is a must. There are some lovely touches around the home which give away that this is Anne & Johan’s home. We had great communication with the hosts throughout our stay and thank them for letting us share their special space. ##### Jacqui B. Séjour de 13 nuits en juillet 2023 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Nicky H. 9 oct. 2022 Points forts : Propreté #### Stunning villa in amazing location Our recent stay at the Villa was absolutely amazing, we had a couple of minor issues on the first day but Johan made sure these were sorted out promptly. Communication from booking to check out has been super-efficient, friendly and helpful. We stayed here with our daughters and their partners, we all love to cook, and it was a genuine pleasure to use the kitchen. We’ve stayed in many places where the kitchen utensils are basic, this is definitely not the case here, the kitchen is stocked with everything you could need. Johan and Anne generously share the contents of their wonderful home with their guests, so table settings look and feel beautiful, so much so, we only went out for dinner one night. The barbeque was great and with 4 different spaces for dining, you are literally spoilt for choice, the dining room and poolside were our favourites. The pool and garden are fantastic, totally peaceful, most days we didn’t see or hear anyone else, just what we wanted, it really is a perfect place to relax and unwind. The well-established tropical garden is stunning. As you would expect there was a good few mosquitos, so make sure to take insect spray. But the house is well prepared for this with citronella candles and plug in repellents in most locations so it’s not a huge issue. The pool is stunning and so well maintained it really is a delight, we enjoyed the pool from early morning to evening. It was actually difficult to drag ourselves away from the pool and garden to explore, so do allow yourselves a few days to just enjoy the space. We enjoyed the walk to the beach, it’s a steep climb on the way back. Mandala, the bar on the beach does good food and there are several supermarkets close by, we hired a car so had access to 3 or 4\. We all totally loved the villa and had a fabulous holiday and would love to become one of Johan and Anna’s regular visitors. ##### Nicky H. A relatively short walk (around 15 mins) to local beaches & restaurants or a 10-15 min drive to either Moraira (lovely) or Calp (bigger/busier) so the location is good. Would generally recommend needing a car to get around. A very clean, comfortable and well appointed 3 bedroom villa with loads of space outside with a great pool, outside cooking area with BBQ and lovely garden surroundings. Some nice touches with tech like TV with all the main streaming apps built in for the kids and a Sonus speaker system which you can connect to when you want some entertainment to relax. Very friendly, helpful and approachable owners also - would highly recommend! 👍 ##### Steve C. You could describe it as an upside down house in UK terms in that all of the bedrooms are on the ground floor with the kitchen and living area on the upper level. This works very well as it keeps the bedrooms cool at night and although we did use the aircon at times the bedrooms were no where near as hot as other villa's we have stayed at in August. The pool area is completely private and is not overlooked and has the benefit of sun all day from 10am with various umbrellas and shady areas if it was needed. The kitchen facilities are the best we have experienced and it’s clear this is the owners second home rather than just a rental. The villa is up a steep hill and although it is walking distance from the nearest beach, restaurant and supermarket you do need a car or take taxi's to enjoy Calpe or Moraira (the next biggest towns) Calpe is approximately 5 minutes by car. Overall this villa is really good value and the best we have stayed in. We liked it so much we will be returning in 2023\. Johan is very responsive and although we did not have any issues while there he kept in regular contact. (checking we arrived safely etc) Thanks again, we are already looking forward to next year! ##### Richard M. Het prachtig vernieuwde zwembad is een grote troef voor jong en oud en de toegankelijkheid vanuit de slaapkamers is een meerwaarde. Er zijn een vijftal terrassen waar je altijd wel natuurlijke schaduw vindt. Johan en Anneke begeleidden ons fantastisch voor, tijdens en na ons verblijf met duidelijke uitleg over het huis en de omgeving. The house is very nice furnished and offers all comfort. It is exactly as described and we did not miss anything. We had barbeque and enjoyed our meals on the terrace. The house is very quiet and has a beautiful and well-groomed garden. We did not need the air condition but the fans proved to be helpful against the mosquitoes, which unfortunately still existed in October (mosquitoes are widespread in the area and appear almost everywhere). The pool is amazing and the water temperature was - although already October - still 22 degrees (the sea temperature was even a few degrees higher). The nearest beach (Playa de la Fustera) and the recommendable Mandala Beach Bar are only a 15-minute walk downhill. The sandy beaches of Calpe can be reached in 10 minutes by car (a lot of free parking!!). These beaches are not crowded and perfect for kids (non-swimmers). Many thanks to Anne and Johan for the friendly communication and the many useful tips we received before our trip. ##### Bettina W. Der Pool scheint recht neu zu sein. Die Außenanlage ist gepflegt und mit vielen Pflanzen. Das sorgt für Schatten, aber leider auch den für viele Moskitos. Solange man in der Sonne ist hat man seine Ruhe, aber sobald man sich in die Nähe von Schatten bewegt braucht man einen Schutz. Etwas schwierig empfanden wir die Schlafzimmer. Zwei der drei Zimmer haben eine Klimaanlage, dies sind jedoch keine Split-Geräte. Sie haben zwar einen Luftauslass nach draußen, der Kompressor ist jedoch im Raum. Das macht die Geräte sehr laut. Das ist insbesondere im kleinsten Schlafzimmer sehr unangenehm. Eines der großen Schlafzimmer ist recht groß, hat aber keine Klimaanlage und nur ein kleines Fenster und Ventilator. Im Hochsommer wurde uns zu heiß und wir mussten in das kleine Zimmer mit der lauten Klimaanlage umziehen. Hier besteht definitiv Verbesserungspotential. ##### Kai H. The main living area is very well set up, a spacious living-room with two comfortable sofás and two armchairs to watch TV. Open kitchen and large dining table. The swimming pool is new, has a very good size and is lovely in the evening if you switch-on the pool lights. The location is very good, just between Calpe and Moraira, with many supermarkets within 10 minutes drive. Car is a must. Anne and Johan were very helpful and answered all our questions very quickly.
