It was a standard business travel over nights stay. The staff was very pleasant, specially at the breakfast. The hotel has a very practical location next to the railwaystation. I will definetly stay there next time in Basel.

top, tolle Ausstattung (Mamor im Bad), toller Ausblick, großes Bett und eine schön großes Fenster, äußerst angenehme Atmosphäre und sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter das Bad könnte etwas größer sein, wenn man Musik hören will, ist man leider auf das schlechte Soundsystem der TV Lautsprecher angewiesen

Great location.

Room was satisfactory, a bit dusty. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Hotel is in a great location, lots of transport links. Would have been nice to have free wifi in the room.

Great hotel in central location for old town. Friendly staff including bar and restaurant.Tram system is marvellous and close to hotel. Rooms clean and comfortable. Highly recommended. Will book again on return trips to Basel.

Nice hotel close to everything

Great hotel to stay! Only bad side is they charge for internet, which is a necessity in today's world! Even small hotels have free internet, so that's the only bad side, nice pool.

All in all, a very pleasant stay

Clean and quiet. The best: the whole family was offered a pass to use the tram freely during all our stay. Very appreciated. The worst: wifi is not offered but charged 25$ a day. And they tried to charge me 3 days for a less than 48 hours stay.

Good quality, reliable hotel.

Very nice hotel. Bathroom cleanliness could be better (mildew on tiles) and TV could be updated to newer models (very old LCD screens!). Excellent American buffet breakfast and amazing, friendly staff as always expect from the Swiss. Thank you very much.

un peu vieillissant comme hôtel !!

beaucoup de courant d'air dans cet hôtel au allure vieillissant et légèrement défraichit. Il semble avoir fait un arrêt sur image des années 1990. Mais sinon c'était un bon séjour ;)

Need To Pay In-Room Wifi, What!!!

We were bit worried as some of the reviews gave very low points for this hotel; which we don't agree: the Basel Hilton is more than good enough as rest of the Hilton with typical Swiss services; the room itself is modern and very comfortable; the breakfast is okay for a 4 stars hotel. The Most irritating thing is 'Paid In-Room Wifi' as nowadays very very FEW hotels do; also there is NO slipper provided. Overall we DO recommend this hotel and we may come back.

Es herrst Abbruchstimmung!

Das Positive an diesem Hotel ist kurz erzählt: das Hotel ist gut gelegen der Nähe des Hauptbahnhofs, und unser Doppelzimmer war geräumig und sehr sauber, wenn auch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Hotel soll jedoch im 2015 abgerissen werden, was leider im Hotel zu spüren ist. Es herrscht Abbruchstimmung. Weder wurden wir beim Einchecken gefragt, ob wir HHonors-Mitglied sind, noch wurde uns angeboten, unser Gepäck aufs Zimmer zu bringen, was eigentlich für ein 5-Stern-Hotel selbstverständlich sein soll. Das Hotel macht unter anderem Werbung mit seinem Health Club, aber bei unserem Besuch waren sowohl das Solarium wie auch das Dampfbad ausser Betrieb bzw. defekt. Als wir dann beim Check-Out gefragt wurden, ob alles in Ordnung gewesen sei und wir dies verneint haben, hat der Mitarbeiter an der Reception nicht einmal nachgefragt, sondern hat uns nur einen schöne Restaufenthalt in Basel gewünscht. Fazit: unsere schlechteste Hilton-Erfahrung bisher.
