1. Hotel Villa Paradiso

Hotel Villa Paradiso
4.0 star property
Passignano sul Trasimeno
7.8 out of 10, Good, (106 reviews)
"Nice hotel, rooms are a decent size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was very good, lots of choice Excellent pool area and ample seating/ sun loungers. Layout of hotel can be a little confusing at first, finding your way down stairs to dinning area but additional signage was put up indicating directions. Hotel appears to do a lot of its business accommodating large coach parties, certainly during our stay so lots of people at breakfast at same time before they go off on trips."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Badiaccia?
The best area to stay in Badiaccia is the main village, particularly around Via del Porto and the waterfront, offering a blend of lakeside tranquillity and convenient access to local amenities.

The village of Badiaccia itself is a delightful base, especially for couples and families looking for a relaxed holiday. It's located on the shores of Lake Trasimene, providing stunning views and easy access to water-based activities. The main area of the village is compact, with a few local eateries and shops within a short stroll. Here, you'll find charming guesthouses and villas that often come with private gardens or terraces overlooking the lake.

For families, staying directly in Badiaccia is ideal because of its quiet, pedestrian-friendly nature. Children can enjoy playing by the lake, and many accommodations offer family-friendly facilities like swimming pools.
When is the best time to go to Badiaccia?
The best time to go to Badiaccia is during the late spring (May to early June) or early autumn (September to early October) for pleasant weather and fewer crowds.

During these shoulder seasons, the weather is typically warm and sunny, ideal for exploring the Umbrian countryside, cycling, or enjoying outdoor dining without the intense heat of mid-summer. You'll find the vineyards and olive groves at their most picturesque, and the local towns are bustling but not overwhelmingly busy. This period offers a good balance for travellers wanting to experience the best of the region comfortably.

For those who enjoy warmer temperatures and don't mind more people, July and August offer the hottest weather, superb for spending time by Lake Trasimene. However, it's also the peak tourist season, meaning higher prices and more crowded attractions.
