I'll share the good as well as the not so good. The good: Home is directly on the water - you can't beat the views, especially from the rooftop terrace. Property was clean and well maintained. Furnishings were modest, but we were only there two nights. Great jumping off point for SE Sicily. Easy drives to Ortigia, Modica, and Ragussa. The bad: Not accurately listed. The unit is a duplex - nowhere in the listing does it explain that you will only have access to one side of the unit. We traveled as two couples, expecting to share the entire unit, only to arrive and find that we only had half the unit. Directions - terrible. GPS is useless in this area - the property doesn't have a traditional address and is nearly impossible to find. If you arrive after sunset - good luck. We contacted the owner, who met us near the unit and directed us there, but had we not done that, not sure how we would have found it. Parking situation is dubious. Very, very tight getting in and out. We had an Audi A4 station wagon and had a lot of difficulty navigating to/from the property. If you rent a car larger than this, you may not be able to get in and out. Property owner wasn't real responsive, other than meeting us to guide us in. He really didn't have any reason for the listing discrepancy and made no effort to make anything right. This unit is OK, but you will want to ask a lot of questions. ##### Travis W. Oct 9, 2017 #### Schöne Unterkunft in den super Lage Es handelt sich um eine Ferienwohnung in einem Haus am Meer. Das Haus besteht aus 2 Wohnungen, wobei eine davon eine Fensterfront und Terasse mit Meerblick hat. Das Haus bietet zudem eine Dachterrasse die für alle zugänglich ist. Die Wohnung ist in gutem Zustand. Zum schönen Strand geht man ca. 3 min. Wir hatten (Ende September) extrem viele Mücken in und um die Wohnung. Die schwere behäbige grosse Schiebeglasür (einziger Zugang zur Wohnung) und fehlende Fliegengitter sind ein Negativpunkt. Sieht zwar alles schön aus, ist aber sehr unpraktisch und das Paradies für Mücken und Fliegen. ##### Markus R. Nous pensions que les photos exapgéraient la beauté de l'endroit et la vue sur la mer, mais pas du tout ! C'est encore mieux en réalité. Nous avons adoré l'endroit, la proximité de la mer, la très belle plage pas trop courue en juillet. Nous y retournerons très volontiers. Le seul petit bémol est que c'est un petit peu court en ustensiles de cuisine, mais nous avons quand même pu apprécier les produits locaux :) Il y a tout à proximité ou à quelques km. May 13, 2017 #### Mooi huis vlak bij het strand Mooi en net huisje met uitzicht op zee. Huis 1 (met 1 slaapkamer) heeft grote glazen pui, huis 2 is wat meer ingebouwd. Dakterras is prachtig maar deel je wel met beide huisjes. Je zit wel vrij dicht naast elkaar als beide huisjes bezet zijn - wij waren blij dat het andere huisje tijdens ons verblijf leeg was. Vanaf het huisje loop je in paar minuten naar het strand waar je op uit kijkt. Op 2 minuten lopen is ook een kleine camping waar je op het terras wat kunt drinken en eenvoudige pizza kunt bestellen - en voor 's morgens vers brood kunt bestellen! ##### M v. May 1, 2017 #### Geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung mit wunderschöner Dachterrasse Die Wohnung ist hübsch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet, neu renoviert und verfügt über eine zweckmässig eingerichtete Küche, zwei Schlafzimmer und ein sehr schönes Badezimmer. Das Haus hat zwei Wohnungen (wir waren in der hinteren) und liegt leicht erhöht über dem Meer in einem ruhigen Quartier mit vielen Ferienhäusern. Der kleine Strand ist über einen Fussweg oder die Zufahrtsstrasse in wenigen Schritten erreichbar. In Avola (mit dem Auto in 5 Minuten erreichbar) hat es gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir haben immer auf der herrlichen Dachterrasse gefrühstückt und die wunderbare Aussicht auf das Meer genossen. Die Wohnung kann mit AC gekühlt oder beheizt werden. Daniele und seine Familie sind sehr freundlich. Es gibt unzählige tolle Ausflugsziele in der näheren Umgebung wie Syrakus/Ortigia, Noto, Vendicari, Marzamemi. In einem Agriturismo, das dem Eigentümer gehört und ca. 5 Autominuten weiter weg ist, gibt es einen Pool, den man benützen darf. Da wir nur 3 Nächte blieben, haben wir davon leider keinen Gebrauch gemacht. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. ##### Corinne W.
