Notre séjour de 2 nuits était bien dans l’ensemble. Le check in ne s’est pas fait avec le manager des lieux car la personne était absente d’après la pancarte donc la femme de ménage nous a gentiment orienté vers notre appartement de 2 chambres et a débloqué le boîtier pour la clé. Heureusement, car nous ne connaissions pas le code de notre lockbox. Notre logement était propre toutefois une odeur de renfermé se faisait sentir, peut-être à cause de la moquette usée des chambres. Pour finir, le motel est situé au cœur de Orewa avec les restaurants, magasins à proximité et surtout non loin de la merveilleuse plage. Un emplacement idéal.

The room was well equipped, tidy, and clean. The location was good, and close to the shops. I paid a discounted rate, but definitely don't think I'd pay the full rate. I don't think it's worth it. I stayed in unit 6, and every so often the room would creak so loud that I had to sleep with white noise on to drown out the sound. It wasn't the best experience, and it kept waking me up.

The property was ok, the cleaning staff were friendly but do not speak English. Expedia presents an unnecessary hurdle. It took us over an hour to try to get our code, had to ring Expedia - the guy was friendly but obviously based out of the country, and was very hard to explain to and understand. He gave us the (unpublished online) number of the motel. We had way more success speaking directly to the motel office. Why Expedia????? Why not man the motel office and deal with customers directly. Cut out the overseas middleman! The place is ok - well positioned near Orewa. My Expedia experience was terrible - and stressful, the night before a family funeral!!

Convient for An Overnight Stay

The wood panels occasionally creak quite loudly and initially we were unsure what it was. We later found a note explaining it has to do with the wood reacting to temperature changes. Great location near beach, grocery shops and dinning. Owners responded quickly when messaged and brought a curtain for the glass back door. Everything was clean though a bit dated. The shower has a large step to get in which could be a problem for the ederly.
