A stunning 1920s property in a quiet residential street in Kolonaki. Cute boutique shops and eateries to discover as you walk around the area. The Artist Atelier suite is a divine luxurious haven to escape to after a day’s sightseeing. Beautiful art adorns the walls and gorgeous scents soothe the body in one of the two quirky bathrooms. The upstairs terrace offers a great chilled space and the breakfast is truly delicious. All the staff were beyond helpful and a delight. 5 stars all round!

Absolutely beautiful property, very quiet neighbourhood but very close to all of the best shopping and restaurants by walk. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in a great area but also wanting peace and tranquility of a small boutique space. Also so beautifully designed, the entire property is gorgeous, thank you for having us!

From the moment we walked through the door, we were made to feel genuinely welcome and completely at home. The staff is knowledgeable, warm, friendly, and incredibly accommodating without ever feeling formal or intrusive. The hotel itself is extraordinary. The decor is a beautiful mix of old-world elegance, modern art, and just enough eccentricity to make it unforgettable. Every room and corner feels thoughtfully curated, but never staged. It is warm, intimate, stylish, and full of personality. The little details made the experience feel especially special — the handwritten welcome note, the sparkling wine, the beautiful breakfast, the lighting, the art, and the sense that every choice had been made with care. And romantic? Absolutely. Shila has that rare kind of atmosphere that makes you want to slow down, pour a glass of wine, linger in the room, and forget whatever plans you thought you had for the evening. We loved every minute there. It was relaxing, inspiring, a little decadent, and completely unlike anywhere else I’ve been. I would return in a heartbeat and honestly had a hard time leaving. Shila wasn’t just our hotel in Athens. It became one of my favorite parts of the trip.

Really nice upscale. Downtown Athens itself is kind of dumpy, but this is a nice touch in the middle of it. Very high-end. The roms are super thoughtfully decorated. There’s a lot of things for sale in the room at pretty pricey numbers, but very hard to beat the atmosphere they create. Breakfast is served individually either in your room or on the rooftop so the service is impeccable.

A beautiful, thoughtful art boutique hotel experience. We loved finding all of the unique touches in our room. Loved the bathtub, rain shower, outdoor patio and rooftop breakfast. Or meals were filling and delicious. The team was excellent and on top of arranging transportation to the port and airport. We make it a point to stay in art hotels and Shila was top tier.

Our host was fantastic. Directions and suggestions for places to go and things to do. Super pleasant. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic and kept us full until it was time for dinner! Highly recommend.

Funky place

Interesting place. Very funky vibe. It was a nice place but the funkiness made it a bit uncomfortable. No where to put luggage. The shower was odd. A bathtub with a pipe over it that had water spray all over the place. There wasn’t a closet, only a clothing rack that had “clothing for sale” hanging on it. There was a beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was really good. Its worth a stay just to check the place out.

This truly is a wonderful place. Beautifully and creatively decorated, a treat to all senses. From how everything looks together, to the smells, to sounds and the presence of the place. Great location and excellent and kind people who work there. I would definitely go back.

The most beautifully styled property, perhaps I have ever stayed. You feel as if you are a guest in a designer home and are immediately comfortable. Every attention to detail has been considered. Breakfast was fantastic. I will definitely return!

Es un hotel peculiar. Nada en la fachada indica que lo sea. Solo hay una pequeña placa con el nombre. Entras y te encuentras una casa estudiadamente desvencijada (pintura desconchada, apariencia buscada de abandono), pero con mucho encanto. Nuestra habitación tenía acceso a un patio muy bonito donde desayunamos correctamente. Es como entrar a vivir en un decorado. Personal muy atento. La ubicación no es en zona histórica, pero en 20 minutos se llega a ella. Abstenerse los fanáticos de los hoteles modernos.
