Our stay here was wonderful and all of our needs were met. The host went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and that we enjoyed our time in Athens. We plan to come back again.

Communication before the stay was good, and we received plenty of useful information about the area and public transportation. We were also offered a private transfer service. The house was a bit old-fashioned, but on the other hand, it felt very high-quality, featuring authentic wood and stone details. The kitchen was comprehensively equipped; only a dishwasher was missing. The interior of the house was clean. The only disappointment was the cleanliness of the swimming pool and its surroundings. There was a lot of debris in both the surface and the bottom. I can understand the surface debris because it was very windy on our arrival day and a large tree grew nearby. However, the decayed debris at the bottom looked and felt repulsive. The owner claimed the pool had been thoroughly cleaned on the day of arrival, but that is hard to believe given its condition. The overflow gutters were completely clogged with a lot of dirt, such as sand and decaying organic material, which caused a foul odor around the entire pool area. When we complained about the dirty water, the owner brought us a pool cleaning robot. With it and by using a net several times to scoop up loose debris from the surface and bottom, we managed to get the pool clean. The house was located high on a hill, so it cannot be recommended for anyone with mobility issues. The views over Athens were magnificent! Transport connections were good to Athens and major sights.
