Everything was nice and smooth. However the air con wasn't brilliant. But it was exceptionally hot. Food was really good. Overall a very pleasant stay.
Highly recommend the Pillo. The rooms are spacious, immaculate, and have all amenities you would need (iron, hairdryer etc.) The food in the restaurant was very good, as was breakfast, and the menus catered well for everyone. The hotel had entertainment provided in the evening for the children, and an arcade room, which is perfect for families with young kids.
We all enjoyed the pool and spa, which again, was super clean and well maintained.
We chose this hotel as it is close to Emerald Park, so its perfect if you're visiting the area for that reason.

the room was spotless. and the staff were helpful.
Nice hotel, lovely views, rooms nice & modern, air conditioning a plus, decent pool & spotless changing area. Very family oriented hotel so lots of entertainment for kids. Peaceful at night which was a huge plus. The only downside was the shower in our room didn’t drain properly and would fill with water.
I really appreciated how big and clean the room was. The bed was also large and comfortable and there were plenty of places to put things away.
Luke most places we stayed in Ireland, The air circulation in the bathroom was insignificant and not quite up to the challenge of dealing with typical shower humidity, but turning on the air conditioning in the bedroom helped.
The food and services were excellent and the location is convenient to the airport. Would recommend.

Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Good location for Emerald Park however hotel room floor was filthy and not hoovered (pretzels and biscuits all over floor). We had to pay for everything as we went along and they wouldnt let us charge to the room.
Shower was good when it worked. Most plugs in the room didnt work. Mouldy curtains in room also. They seperate the bar and restaurant however the menu is the same and we had to go looking for menus in the restaurant.
Hotel was nice but we paid a premium for facilities like the pool that we thought we could use for the kids. We only found out on 8 hrs before we arrived that the pool hours for kids were restricted between 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM, which when we were planning to arrive around 7:30-8:00 and leave at 9:30 am, made it useless to us. These hours should be publicly posted on the website, not just communicated via email again. We also thought breakfast was included in our rate given “full breakfast available” was listed as a hotel amenity and when we were checking in, the staff person said “you can just go to breakfast, don’t need to bring anything”, implying that it would be covered. When we arrived at breakfast the next morning, the staff member was highlighting room numbers only to say that ours did not include breakfast and we were charged an extortionate amount for a buffet breakfast. Felt very much like a bait and switch strategy and when you’re paying a premium rate for a hotel, you’d expect much more.
Great hotel choice for a family. Convenient. And clean. I was literally horrified at the breakfast however. Awful. Literally awful. I was embarrassed for the country of Ireland when I saw the American tourists faces as they thought the same.
Rooms are large with very comfortable beds. Fantastic walk in shower. Breakfast was good. Dinner was really good apart from the chips. They were way too salty. I don't understand why some chefs insist on smothering chips in salt. Let the customer help themselves to the salt if they want it. We asked for a little taste of the curry sauce before deciding on whether to order it. We were told we couldn't have it.
The facilities, food and staff were wonderful. The only down points were our room was cold and the radiator and heating didn’t seem to work when we adjusted the thermostat. Also our details were leaked in a security breach and no apology was offered. I do believe they will have improved their security in response to this so it’s more just an annoyance for those effected than something that new customers need to be concerned about.
No breakfast included when booked with Hotels.com but you can pay for it at the hotel for €18per head , good hotel , clean big rooms , it’s really handy to Ashbourne
