"It is a nice, quiet break in the madness of the valley. The gardens are as advertised, the food was fine, the staff was helpful. Like everything in Morocco at this price point, it is old and dirty if you start to look in the corners or try to use the facilities. Totally adequate for what it is."

"We stayed for a few nights as a family with two young kids and loved the farm environment with its playground and games like football and table tennis. The family room was lovely, with beautiful gardens, hot showers, and very comfortable beds. Breakfast on the sun terrace was delicious and set us up perfectly for the day. We did a guided walk in the area and also spent time relaxing by the river near the restaurant. Do bring paints or pens for the kids, as there isn’t much else to do nearby...

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Asgaour?
The best area to stay in Asgaour is the historic Medina, particularly around the main square of Jamaa el-Fna.

The Medina is the original walled city, a bustling labyrinth of narrow alleyways and souks (markets) leading to hidden courtyards and traditional guesthouses known as riads. Jamaa el-Fna is the heart of it all, a large open square that transforms from a quiet marketplace by day into a lively spectacle of food stalls, storytellers, and musicians each evening. You'll find many of the city's key attractions, such as the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Mosque, within easy walking distance.

Couples often find the Medina an excellent choice for a romantic stay. The riads offer an intimate and private retreat from the busy streets, often featuring plunge pools and rooftop terraces with views over the city. The opportunity to wander hand-in-hand through the souks, discovering unique crafts and enjoying a meal at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Jamaa el-Fna, adds to the experience.

For travellers who appreciate convenience and a slightly more relaxed pace while still being close to the action, the Hivernage district is a good alternative. It's located just outside the Medina walls, offering wider avenues, modern hotels, and a variety of upscale restaurants and lounges.
When is the best time to go to Asgaour?
The best time to visit Asgaour, Marrakech, Morocco, is during spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) when the weather is most pleasant.

During these months, the temperatures are warm and comfortable, typically ranging from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius. This makes it ideal for exploring the medina, souks, and gardens without the intense heat of summer or the cooler evenings of winter. You'll find plenty of sunshine without it being overwhelming.

Couples looking for a romantic getaway will appreciate the comfortable climate for exploring the city's sights and enjoying outdoor dining. The mild evenings are superb for strolling through the Jemaa el-Fna square or relaxing in a riad courtyard.

For travellers interested in cultural experiences and outdoor activities, these seasons offer the best conditions.
