What a lovely place with friendly staff and wonderful breakfast. The dining hall is so beautifully decorated that feels like being treated by royalty.

The hotel is based in central Arpino, ideally situated to explore the town. The hotel is spacious and the staff very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are excellent, they do not have an evening restaurant, however, there are a lot of restaurants and pizza houses within Arpino. I throughly recommend the hotel 10/10

Couldn't have been better
This hotel couldn't have been better. The room was lovely and comfortable, the breakfast was perfect (and served in a beautiful, classic room), and all of the staff were friendly, considerate and helpful. We hope to stay here again in the future.

Rudi and Sonia and their staff are the nicest people we have stayed with at any hotel. This place felt like it was our home, the breakfast is excellent ,parking is on the property,not out on the street somewhere. We felt relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much.

Excellent Hotel in pretty town
This is a great hotel. Well furnished and maintained. Hosts Sonia and Rudolpho are on hand to help with any questions and are excellent hosts with good English. Breakfast is also very good with a wide choice. The hotel itself is in a quieter part of town on the edge of the town centre, a short 5 minute walk to the busy main plaza. Il Cavalier is perfect for a holiday break to this pretty part of Lazio.

Loved the service! Sonia and rudolfo are so helpful and friendly couldn’t fault the service they provided! We’re getting married at the hotel next June and they have been amazing hosts. Nothing is ever too much trouble and always go over and beyond with being helpful!

We have stayed here many times and it never disappoints. Used to be a woolen mill so is on the historical quaint side, but very well run. Great breakfast included and beautiful garden with fountain to stroll in. If you are assigned to a front room you have a great view of the old historical town of Arpino. Elite Romans used to come to Arpino in the summer to escape the heat of Rome. Birthplace of Cicero, famous philosopher and orator. Fabulous panoramic view of the Liri River valley from the high city wall up in the ancient town

Wedding Stay
Had a lovely time, hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff great. Although there was no bar or swimming pool, which I understand the owners are going to build in the future, we still had a lovely stay regardless.

Thé town of Arpino is delightful and the people are so friendly and kind. The hotel is in a beautiful setting, and all the staff is incredibly kind, helpful and nice. The rooms were a bit dated is the only negative

Just one night but it was great.
Although just the night and walking through the reception the man at reception was incredibly welcoming. From then on we knew we would like the stay, and we did. Just outside the walls of Arpino it was 5 mins walk into the centre. We intend to use this hotel again when we go back in November.

A hidden gem in the hills.
What an amazing place in a wonderful location hidden away in the old and beautiful town of Arpino. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we stepped through the door until we said goodbye. This old mill has been exquisitely converted into luxurious accommodation. A short walk from the town centre and restaurants etc. the hotel provides excellent stylish accommodation as well as beautiful gardens to relax in. Even our labrador was made to feel special!

I have stayed at this hotel before, so knew what I should expect. I was not disappointed. Upon arrival, my party of family members were helpfully briefed both about the hotel and also the local area, including a wise recommendation for a restaurant. This was important because the hotel does not have one of its own for dinner guests (breakfast only, which was plentiful, fresh and varied). Our two rooms on the third floor both had wonderful views of Arpino and the countryside. With day-time temperatures in the 40's, the AC was welcome. I intend to re-visit, with every confidence that my stay will again be comfortable and most enjoyable.

Fantastic building. Amazing views.
We had a great experience while staying here for a family wedding. Our room was clean and spacious, breakfast was fresh and appetising, the gardens were very pretty, the view was outstanding and the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Sonia. It is a perfect location - only a short stroll from the shops and piazza. Highly recommended.

Large rooms in an renovated ancient structure. Easy walk to the town center. Good breakfast. Very nice staff. Arpino is a lovely stop between Naples and Rome. Be sure to eat at Ciclope.

Grandeur in the Mountains
Our stay at the Hotel Cavalier was excellent...like stepping into an elegant bygone era. It was a graceful hotel and the reception staff didn't let it down. They were adorable people and nothing was too much trouble. My only critique was a personal dislike for blankets and bedspreads, I prefer quilt and cover, but everything was spotlessly clean so it was a minor problem. We had a very large room with 3 windows, double aspect. The views of the hill top town of Arpino from the windows were incredible. The breakfast room has to be seen to be believed. We don't usually take pictures of breakfast rooms but this one was exceptional. It was gorgeous. There was plenty of food on the buffet and I loved the coffee. We were in Arpino 2 days and must have made a dozen friends. Three of whom we are going to keep in touch with.
