Really enjoyed the stay- very clean room- excellent bedding- good service.
Cabin was warm, cozy and spotlessly clean upon arrival. Good restaurant on site. Great fish and chips from food truck just down the road. Beautiful walking trails close by as well.
Very beautiful little cottages in the middle of an amazing spot in Iceland, lots of great spots for pictures and exploring! The room was very clean and had everything that we needed for our stay!
It was fine, bed was comfortable but the room was very bare bones, only one pillow, hot water only lasted 3-5min, felt like a $75 cabin you would rent in an american state park but they charged you $300 + a night. Ive stayed in better hotels in iceland that make more sense value to cost. Theres no view no skylite the big window you see just faces other cotages.
The surrounding area is beautiful and the cottage was cozy. Staff was also very friendly. My only complaint is that we didn’t find out until entering our unit and seeing a sign on the bathroom that they don’t get much hot water. The sign says to use hot water sparingly. I made sure to get all the way in the shower before turning the water on given the warning. The warm water didn’t even last 2minutes before turning ice cold. Overall we enjoyed our stay, but given the winter conditions we would have loved a hot shower.
No WiFi despite advertising it in the description. Technically, they provide a WiFi signal, but it disconnected constantly (it was at one bar of strength) and unusable.
The room itself was clean and well-organized. I did like that overall, but I strongly dislike advertising amenities that don't exist, or are provided at a bare-minimum, unusable level. A dedicated router needs to be nearby, or one in each cabin.
I was in cottage #1.
The cottage is very cute and cozy and exactly what we needed! One of the best stays of our 2 week trip. Big shower, big comfy bed and good blackout curtains. Contactless check in was very smooth as well
Quaint and comfortable cottages set in the breathtaking scenery - at the foot of a mountain with views of the sea. Great dining choices, the Snojfell restaurant was fantastic. Would definitely stay again!
It was very quaint. We ended up staying another night at the Hotel and loved that even more.

I’m going to sound like a Karen, and I recognize the weather was terrible so likely made everything seem worse, but the place cost a lot and I would expect better. Cabins and property were rundown and not super well maintained and the hot water ran out quickly. The fridge made a terrible noise. There was not a lot of privacy despite having a private cabin - couldn’t have any of the curtains open as anyone could easily look in.
2 of the four restaurants in the area were closed and there was nowhere to buy food/groceries.
In the cabin there was only a kettle and a microwave but no cutlery or dishes - so we couldn’t even eat what we brought.
There were a lot of lights outdoors so couldn’t see the sky well at night (in hopes of seeing aurora) and the internet didn’t work (I contacted the office and was given a password to an alternate internet, but that wouldn’t work either).
And oh… the pillow 😭. Terrible single flat pillow.
So… overall not awesome.

I’ve toured the entire island and have stayed in really nice places to guesthouses and this place by far my least favorite. It sits very close to a beautiful place other than that nothing good to say. Very basic to the point that u can tell they cut every corner to save money. WiFi is non existent. Reaching out for any type of help was a joke. No idea that the lobby sat inside of a restaurant, had to look for 30 min with no help from staff answering messages. Shower felt like an accident waiting to happen , very plastic and slippery. For the amount I paid I expected a bit more.
