Park your car in the private off-street spot and then forget about it, because you won’t need it while staying here - you can walk to everything Arcata has to offer. Enjoy the beautiful shared outdoor space and relax at a cafe table or by the propane fire pit on a cool Arcata evening. The apartment is part of Arcata Vacation Suites, a six-unit vacation rental compound in the heart of Arcata. Built in the first half of the 20th century, the property is both charming and funky. Our space features an off street parking space and is one of our most private units on the property. It has a semi private yard space but also has access to the rest of the shared yard space and propane fire pit as well. Guests also have access to the coin-op laundry room. \*\*\*Details to note when booking... VRBO does not cover us under their insurance policy due to the third party platform we use. For this reason, at time of booking, you will see there is a "$500 damage deposit to be paid at property." This is just a hold charge on your credit card that starts on the day of your arrival and is then released within 2 days after your departure and covers our property in the case of extensive damage. The numbers were clearly worn down on the pad. The management company responded right away to my comment about the ants that swarmed my bag I left on the bedroom table under the TV. They got into my pill container and I had to throw a couple days worth of medicine away. The area seemed sketchy but my car and Uhaul trailer made it thru the night just fine.
