Stroll just 500 metres to discover the bustling heart of the town with its many independent shops and eateries. Head less than 1 mile in the other direction to find yourselves in Waterhead on the shores of magnificent Windermere. From Waterhead, enjoy a 3-mile, circular walk, taking you through ancient Skelghyll Woods and Jenkins Field, where you can meander through some of the tallest trees in Cumbria, enjoy the views from Jenkins Crag and paddle in the lake. Those keen to venture out onto the water can hire rowing boats or motor day cruisers at Waterhead or book tickets for a cruise.


Enter this tranquil retreat via the boot room, where you can kick off your wellies or walking boots. Put any damp clothing in the washing machine in the adjacent utility room before heading through to the kitchen/dining room, with its ample space and accessories for self-catering and dining together. There is a handy external door here, plus access to a useful pantry and the downstairs WC. Light the wood burner in the lounge, then enjoy its cosy warmth as you play games at the table. The second lounge, where there is a TV and a lovely open fire, also features cosy seating to sink back into. Your enticing bedrooms, each with its own colour scheme, are all located on the first floor. Here you have two king bedrooms, both with generous storage and one with an en-suite shower room and scenic fell views. There is also a friendly twin bedroom. Your family bathroom, which has both a shower and a bath, is also at this level.


Head out to relax in the enclosed patio on sunny afternoons. Guests at this cottage benefit from private parking for one car. There is also nearby on-street parking, subject to availability.
