The property offers a number of scenic walking trails from your front door, leading to stunning beauty spots that include Stock Ghyll Force (0.8 miles), Wansfell Pike (1.5 miles) and Loughrigg Fell (4.5 miles). Head into the charming market town of Ambleside (1.5 miles) for a selection of shops and eateries, or to browse the local art gallery. History lovers can explore the Roman fort on the outskirts of town, while picturesque lake cruises depart from the waterside, stopping at Windermere and various points around the lake.


Arranged over three floors, this characterful stone cottage exudes rustic charm with exposed stone walls and wooden beams alongside contemporary comforts. Step into a warm and welcoming hallway and head to the first floor, where the reverse-level layout makes the most of the fantastic views. This bright and airy space features a fitted kitchen with warm wooden cabinets and a cosy lounge with twin sofas and a window seat, arranged around the wood burner and TV. There's a dining table seating four, while steps lead up to the mezzanine-level snug where there's another sofa – ideal for curling up with a book. When it's time to rest your head, there are two bedrooms on the ground floor: a king-size and a twin, both with wooden furnishings. They share the use of a contemporary bathroom with a shower over the bath.


Make the most of the warm weather in the communal patio area with picnic tables and stunning valley views, shared with the other holiday cottages. You'll also benefit from free access to a small indoor pool and sauna, bookable for private sessions, along with private parking for two cars.
