I wanted something that was out in the middle of no where…but still semi close to other humans, and this was it. The location of this cabin was the perfect distance from Big Bend and all the other little campsites close to Study Butte. I liked that it had good landmarks to find the road to get to the cabin, it really helped when coming back in the pitch black dark. The host had everything that we needed and also didn’t know we needed available for us. I loved all the communication he sent over about how to operate all the amenities and also little tidbits about places to go/do. I didn’t expect the additional attention to things and I REALLY appreciated it. There’s no one around so you may enjoy the outdoor shower worry-free of unintentional exposure. Lol. The privacy of the waste closet is definitely worth mentioning. It is separate from the bedroom quarters and it makes me want this at my house. The hammock is a killer touch. Every night I use it to unwind right before going to sleep by gazing up at the unbelievable sky full of stars like never before. It is so quiet that you can literally hear the leaves barely blowing on the trees. I had never experienced anything like this, the solitude, the gentleness of the sheer whispers you can hear.
