"Breakfast daily was amazing. Huge variety of options and always a great start to the day. Location was perfect for us. It sits on a hiking trail with a beautiful beach (Albandeira). It’s small but private. Some days the water was rough but others it was fine to swim. Rooms were clean, small but had everything we needed. Our only wish is that staff were a little friendlier. Maybe I’m just used to friendly Canadian culture and this was noticeably different."

"We had a wonderful stay at Castelo Guest House, starting from our check in with the magnificent and friendly Catia, to our spotless room with a view of Carvoeiro Beach. The entire staff team were super friendly as well. Yulda, who cleaned our room was a ray of sunshine. After checkout, we were able to return to Castelo Guest House to use the shower facilities before heading to the airport. Thank you to everyone for making our stay super pleasant . We would definitely return and recommend this lovely place. Mary and Joe, Canada"
