This home was recently converted from a single-family home to a full-time resort. The amenities and decor give it a unique, nautically-themed ambiance in the summer and a cozy, winter wonderland feel in the winter. Summer Amenities: Private boat launch, dock, 2 Kayaks, 2 Stand-Up Paddle Boards, life jackets, and inflatables for swimming. Conveniently located just off route 78 between Swanton and Alburgh, Vermont, this home is situated on a bay between two bridges sheltering swimmers, paddle boards, and kayaks from winds and high waves. The area's only sand beach is also just a block from the house. For anglers, the Bass/Walleye/Northern Pike bite is the best on the lake. Guests have easy access to Hog Island Market (5 min) for fishing licenses, bait and tackle, beer and wine, and other convenience store items. Pontoon and fishing boat rentals are also close by at Campbell's Bay Campground (4 miles). The Alburgh Recreational park and rail trail entrance is just a block south of the home where guests can hike or ride bikes on the 5-mile nature trail. In addition, the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge is 1.5 miles away, and the area's most popular ice cream stand is one mile away. For those looking for additional adventures, the Canadian border crossing is 3 miles to the north where guests can easily travel 10 min into Quebec for a delicious French dinner. From the moment we checked in, we knew it was going to be a quiet and relaxing long weekend. House was clean and very comfortable. The view was amazing especially at sunrise. We had one minor hiccup. We accidentally set off the smoke dectors and couldn't shut them off. Called Josie and she was over to help us out immediately.
